When it comes to love,
Not everyone has the same thoughts.

Love indeed,
Give different meanings to different people.

For some,
Love is beautiful,
Love is fine,
Love is powerful.

For some,
Love is pain,
Love is hurt,
Love is vain.

Love is actually a mystery,
A mystery that only heart,
Only the heart can resolve.

Exploring may be frivolous
But not without its charm
A sturdy stick and native guide
Should keep you far from harm
But if about your wanderings
A desert you should find
Commit these words to memory
And bear them well in mind

If ever you encounter
Whilst off amid the dunes
A creature with an orange face
With ears like wooden spoons
Its eyes revolving rapidly
As pin-wheels in the breeze
Beware the mighty Knobblethump
Aloft on bony knees

Its tongue can stretch for meters
With a coat of sticky glue
Its talons quite formidable
And a gorgeous shade of blue
It suffers not from hunters
As it bounds across the sands
If they try to track its footprints
Then it walks upon its hands

Its tail is rather notably
Of curious construction
With purple hair, an extra nose
And tentacles for suction
It dines upon its victims
With efficiency and lust
For dessert it’s baked Sahara
With a tasty sandy crust

So heed my words of counsel
And avoid the desert sun
Keep near to mind, this salty tail
Keep close to hand your gun
Sleep with one eye at a time
And never trust a Jew
Bravely, you… what?

Oh… It appears that will be all from Ben’s Bedtime Stories for tonight and indeed forever. Sleep tight **

The hunter's moon, its reddish glow
Replaced the golden gleam of the forgiving sun.
The hunted sits on his rocking chair,
Pensive, dreaming, remembering.
The darkness of his study is disturbed
When a ray of the scarlet moon,
Playfully enters through the battered window
And rests, mockingly, upon his collection of Goethe's.
The smell of incense from a spectral source
Fills the room with dreams and nightmares.
He sees the image of someone he has long known.
Her visage dim but fair; his face, scared and pale.
Her shadow slides along the walls until it stands behind him.
She leans forward and whispers into his ear.
The playful ray of crimson glow passes by,
Leaving the room again in apathetic darkness.

Ever so slightly,
we change
when we travel back and forth,
miles and miles away,
we see ourselves happier.

Ever so slightly,
happiness finds us
close to home,
by the fire,
under a cloudy sky.

Ever so slightly,
we change our perspective
and we start to see how light makes plain things beautiful.

Ever so slightly,
life is kissing us and we learn to kiss back.
life, change, now, journey

Wind on my skin
Through my hair
In my lungs

Pups in the pantry
Sprouts growing
Controlled freedom

Smells of smoke
Smiles on our faces
A snake of streets

Lights in the sky
Skin reflecting life
Loose fabric flows

Sound waves tickle
Climbing up lobes
My ears are happy

Pink Pigs
The wind gently blowing through the trees
Rustling the leaves on the ground
Lying down on the soft emerald green grass
She looks up at the bright blue sky
Hoping a change in perspective may help

Her eyes tried from all the tears she’s cried
She stares off into the vast blueness
Hoping to find some clue as to why things turned out this way
Wondering if life will ever change
Terrified that it may never

As she stares off into the nothingness
Her mind begins to draw pictures of what could be
Jelly fish floating through the air with ease
Pink pigs playing in the wind
Her life a happy one

But she knows these will never be
Slowly lifting her weight
She brushes off the dreams of what could be like pieces of grass
And slowly trudges back
Back to the life she will always know

I'm not who you think I am
I'm a soul waiting desperately to be released.
You don't see that.
You bully me,
Torture me,
You hurt me.
I'm a freak in your eyes.

When will there be someone to care for me.
When will there be someone to LOVE me.
Is that too much I ask for?
Or am I the selfish one for asking.
....
Sitting alone
Wrapped in darkness.
Its cold embrace
And emptiness,
Reminiscent of a life
That I once had.

Her touch,
A seductive slash
Upon my lacerated skin.
Her kiss,
A tantalizing poison
Upon my parched lips.

And yet as she turns her back
Is as the sun wanes
And the moon covets its light
With a foolish, jealous glow.
And even as twilight arrives
The moon still doesn't let go.

And as she walks away
With a flick of her sharp hair
And a roll of her dark eyes,
She leaves me a crooked smile
Which captivated
And I was mesmerized.

But suddenly,
Through the darkness
Appears a stunning bright lantern,
Breaking my trance
By beaming brilliant rays
And shining with compassion.

Sitting, no longer alone
I bask in the inspiring aura.
Warmth enriches my heart
With a revitalizing swell,
Reminiscent of a life
That I once had as well.
For Jade. You are the lantern shining through my darkness. Your magnificence will resonate eternally within me. Thank you

more than I want to forget
I want to remember
you are a quiet calm
that I want to detail as you sleep
the tint and shade of your eyelids
as you inhale
exhale
illuminated by a soft glow
I want to remember
your voice was a river
when whispering about love
rushing, returning
in a rhythm
that matched
the slight upturn
of the corners of your lips
as if you just remembered I'm next to you
I want to remember
the small noises of your nature
your body ticks
like  a grandfather clock waiting for the sunrise
you make tiny noises in the bottom of your throat
as you move
you have told me you love me thousands of times
without opening your mouth
I wish to touch you
but I am afraid that if I do I will disturb your surface
as if you were water
ripples running over your skin
more than I want to forget
I want to remember
every piece
of you
