Slowwwwwwly the music became too intimate
Life became too intimidating
Few love songs
Load of sad songs

They never had a straight playlist
Parallel as their relationship
But time made them miss each other
They now reminisce with memories; time was up

wine glass on the table
life on display
love on play
few knowing the game

most strolling home with no hope
maybe we were meant to live and die

she walks home
aint home
just few hoods and my odour in the hood
she missed her home
she believed i was her home

few sips on her syrup wine
she calls me
"do you believe in love"
drunk me
yet to reply

maybe i do believe on weekends
yet to master love on weekdays

"there is tomorrow, dont live for today"
they remind us
we walk home
thinking over what tomorrow holds

sharp knife on an innocent life
or a jubilant face of a gladiant who fought for people
a kid home without parents
a grandma on her 90s no grandkid to tend her
all dead
in the name of fighting for tomorrow

ts tuesday
that what we believe
tomorrow ts wednesday
we will wed it nevertheless

where will you be tomorrow

They lied to us
We lied to them
Old men and women of pur society
Lured them to voting for a youth like us
We call them;people of this city

Budget box at hand
Sledge hammer on our heads
No flour to soar our throats
No caffeine to flatter our heads

kids on their tattered uniforms
Parents on their torn overalls
City still crazier
Maybe we voted thieves on midday

She folds the note slowly and carefully
Just as how she did 10 years ago
This time
I was the one giving her
Proud face she wore, maybe i never realised her love before
Turks it on her sleeve

"Dont get married yet ***
Get kids
Dont worry am their great grandma
they will be happier with me"

maybe gradma was right

Few shops on sight
Two coffee shops as they stood 10 years ago
Three old men playing chess still on sight
Nothing changed in my countryside
But i changed

Few beards
Three kids
And a good life
Yet to have a good wife

still dog barks
that never changed
