we walk home
thinking over what tomorrow holds

sharp knife on an innocent life
or a jubilant face of a gladiant who fought for people
a kid home without parents
a grandma on her 90s no grandkid to tend her
all dead
in the name of fighting for tomorrow

that what we believe
tomorrow ts wednesday
we will wed it nevertheless

where will you be tomorrow

They lied to us
We lied to them
Old men and women of pur society
Lured them to voting for a youth like us
We call them;people of this city

Budget box at hand
Sledge hammer on our heads
No flour to soar our throats
No caffeine to flatter our heads

kids on their tattered uniforms
Parents on their torn overalls
City still crazier
Maybe we voted thieves on midday

She folds the note slowly and carefully
Just as how she did 10 years ago
This time
I was the one giving her
Proud face she wore, maybe i never realised her love before
Turks it on her sleeve

"Dont get married yet ***
Get kids
Dont worry am their great grandma
they will be happier with me"

Few shops on sight
Two coffee shops as they stood 10 years ago
Three old men playing chess still on sight
Nothing changed in my countryside
But i changed

Few beards
Three kids
And a good life
Yet to have a good wife

still dog barks
that never changed

Grandma smiles
Few teeth on display
Daamn just years ago she was a damsel
Time took her beauty
But her innocence shouts for a notice in her eyes
She still wore her love for me since 1990s

Maybe i will never meet one like her
Not in this generation
Maybe afterlife

she stook short
tall her
who never any help from grandpa
be it plumbing to carpentry
she now walks on tiptoe

time really changed
but love for her never changed

Human emotions are the most fervent.
It could be love for a day and hatred for another.
Love is captivating,
And hatred distrupts the mind.

When people emotions are intertwined
They lose their perceptiveness
Then,
It will be hard to have the world in one's mind.

In this ruthless life,
I've met some people i disdain.
With them, i only talk about business
I never spoke more than i need to.

After a long time,life got boring.
But after we met
The  people and things i've met were quite interesting
Since i have tasted this interesting life lemme be

In the past, when i closed my eyes,
I just thought about having survived another day.
Ts a profit
Whether i will be dead or alive tomorrow will all be upto God

Now,when i close my eyes,
I think about this person and that person

  Truth is  if i wanna live a different way
I dont need to wait until my next life
