He promised her the sun
Promised her the moon
Because she was his only one
He never meant to leave so soon
He said she was his whole life
And she'd always have his heart
He wanted her to be his wife
He knew this from the start
In his arms he'd hold her tight
Whisper words so sweet
He'd watch her sleeping through the night
Listen to her heart beat
She never knew a love like this
So real and so sure
Magic in each and every kiss
All that she was waiting for
But life isn't always so kind
Not everything meant to be
And she would soon find
A life she didn't want to see
On a night so dark and cold
Even the angels wept
So many things left untold
To the boy who slept
Because he was her whole world
She promised him the moon
Something broke inside the girl
When death came too soon
Now her tears are plenty
She's lost her smile
It hurts to be so empty
She only had him a little while
She's sure she heard the angels weeping
Heard her own heart break
And now he's gone and sleeping
It feels like more than she can take

I was told to make a decision,
so I did.
I was told to stick to my word,
so I did.
I was told to learn to be a man,
so I did,
And I was told to make myself happy,
so I did.

I was told to face the facts and move on,
so I did.
I was told to accept what you said,
so I did.
I was told to fall out of love,
so I did.
And I was told to find freedom within myself,
so I did.

I was told to survive alone,
so I did.
I was told to learn to never need anyone again,
so I did.
I was told to close my heart and mind to the world,
so I did,
Then I was told to learn to love again,
and I did.
Accomplishments.

So told as the story goes,
You’ll go back to how you were,
I’ll get back to who I was,
And maybe we’ll find some peace in knowing
We’re both where we belong.

When this love dies,
Will you tell me,
Or will you drag out my heart,
Tearing me apart, piece by piece.
When this love dies,
Will you tell me,
Or hide away in two’s security
Quietly wishing not to be.

Passion runs through her
It's infused in her blood
Rushes into her heart
& comes out as love

Her body is poetry and her curves are the words.
Her eyes are the hook and her lips, a cryptic verse.
As much as she pours out, there's not much you'll really know.
There's memories she hides, and even more that she won't let go.
She's simple at its best, yet chaotic at her worst.
She'll catch you with her hook, and leave you with her verse.
