a fluttering weakling
Yet immortal, unextinguishable
a gentle candle, hypnotizing you in the dark

It can heal a heart, save up a life
It is an abstract work of beauty given life

It resounds in one's hearts, beats to one's heartbeat

hope
is a fighting beam of light
The glistening gleam in her eye
Knew that she needed one person
to hug her close
I was livid
You were my heaven

A haven of dark boroughs and misty dreams

Should have known
Should have known
Not to trust the
Blood-ranged words of a mortal

Should have known, much
Before
— With time to spare —
my heart froze
Lodged into iron ware
hear the waters
scream
we're practically throwing poison at it
from your happiness
flung it to the heavens
to remind you
when the cold moon shines
she stood on the stage, shivering
a harsh light awoke her
we watched the fire, ignite within her
I felt her indignant words
deep inside of me
ignited, along with her

I walked up to her
tapped her shoulder.

she turned around, surprised.
"thanks,"
I said.
"I felt that"
inspired from a wonderful and powerful TED talk by Sarah Kay, a poet who does spoken poetry..."If I had a daughter"
I read during the
rainy nights, watching the
drops of letters,
ink,
that
can't
be
controlled
.
was a mixture of blue and green
Everything in it was frozen.

As I gazed in fascination,
the clouds moved
the seas raged
the earth shook
the hills laughed.

But the tiny sticks,
tilting in shades of
sunlight in doom, bright teal, and raven
were still as stone.
shines and snags your mind
drags it into
the world of poetry
hullo, poetry!
comes the rush of a stream a'flutter
whistling floats from the warbly call of a vireo
a hoarse shriek splits the silence
rough white parchment
torn up by fine black ink
an octopus curls its legs around the deckled edges
intertwined.
But no ones knows
what those succinct drops of black said
in the room where "it" happens...
in the beach in front of me
clear white sand shifted

The waves embraced the shoreline
was sent away, again and again
behooving the other

I smiled at the sight
a breeze ruffled my hair
the sun kissed my eyes
I tripped over
a half-buried shell
into my majestic artwork of sand

Laughter only colored the picturesque sight
Open your mouth,
let a chorus of words fly.
Is it Navajo? Korean?
Indian? Or Spanish?
Armenian? Or Swahili?
Amharic? Or Bengali?
We need to open our eyes
Spheres of cultures dance around us
Reach up and pluck one
from the sky,
search within,
for an expansion
of your mind.
'Thud, thud, thud' whispered
the drops of the sky's tears
drip, dripping on me
In my broken hands,
I hold,

scripted dances of hopes
only for you

only
to unfold
flicker in the party's fairy lights
padded feet fumble on the wooden porch planks
stars shine in the leave-shaped ruddy strokes
A rose-leaf complexion peers over
the sugar dusted tree tops
The light I see
isn't the sun's kisses
or the dancing artificial lights
strung from post to post
on your back yard

It's the smile of a young one,
it's the bashfulness of a teen.
The wise grin of a senior
and the dancing of the willow trees.

It's in your bright, dark eyes.
Your soot-covered white shoes.
The fresh power of the season
and the heart that you unfold.

It's in everyday mysteries
riddles, histories.
The puppy from the shelter,
the sweat of a med worker.

The dying but strong gleaming eyes
of a strong lad sick in bed
no one in his family can be there
but the nurse, his senior by decades
is right next to him, close
enough for
warmth

In the drops of dew on the shards of green
the broken but perfect pottery on the swinging chair.

A white butterfly perched
on the tipping plastic cup
discarded in a field.

Light is "light", it
may depend on what we say
Stood there, in the rain
a fluttering sensation
wet hair, bright spirits
AFFRRIICAAAAA~ Toto!
First of many singular impressions
Before
you close your heart

take the chance,
change
to
change
a 2nd "look"
INside

I'm different from your
typical
average stereotype.

and I hope you're different from mine.
It really does make a big difference
school me where oceans riff on currents
                               hum H a l l e l u j a h     over strums of harmonies
bus me[ into the Holy Word
                        the Living Word
beckon me

               I'm lost

guide me

                I'm sick, and tired

call me
I'm dead against these storms whiplashing the breath out of me

                 to God:

                    I was lost
but now, You have found me
and founded me, an eternal place of love

I have a home, a home! A peaceful home that brims over
with celebrations and praises

A loving home that is glorifies the Lord and lacks in hate, in sin

                     my home, our home

                                 Heaven!
You carved in my dreams
molded my future

sanded my fortune,
(with naught a mistake here or there!)

painted my talents
decorated my path to walk

pinpointed my identity
And I wouldn't have it any other way, God. Thank you, my Lord.
Looking down
at the bottom left ripped corner,
I saw
a glimpse of your smile.
In the picture
in the picture
in the picture
you were there.

Memories
flipped back memories

A flickering light
of a dripping, white candle
waiting for a hush

Slowly,
I blew
it out.
Inspired from the song 'Memories'! obviously :)
One eye held up to a leaf
where I see the same creases on my hand
a drop of dew collects at the tip
the green is almost blinding
stars sprinkled across
With Hope winking through the veil
A Midnight Drizzle ice cream!  pretty
Korean.
Tall.
Confident.
Enthusiastic.
Sweet.
Humorous.
Intelligent.

Fizzy

hair bands
on each
wrist
Do you know this person?

-MISSING-
Next part is 'Discovery'!
His glass-shard screams punctured the pulsing fleshy *****

creaking left to right from a rope of ****** handkerchiefs

streaks of fat and juice plunked onto a dilating glimmering circle

as a gasp-like sigh echoed softly around the chamber

reverberating heavily within the barren, carved-out cage

It dangled further down,

frenziedly pumping pomegranate-red blood through its narrowing bloated tunnels

yet seemingly lifeless

The boy retched, twisting in the air

skinny limbs flailing,

straining

swollen black veins

I awoke

He slumbered obliviously by my side

a opaque pool of drool collected on the crisp, white sheets

It was all for naught, a warning-infused dream
Her fingers plucked
the strings-
vibrating

all over
me

She struck
against
the hollow
wood

on her knee

Her bow
danced across
the
silvery strings
She breathed

in
and

out
and started

playing double time
for me
I imagined this as a song
My yard is overGrown
Stalks of green r--eaching up
towards the unfathomable blues

seedy dandelions taunt me,
flaunt their aged crowns at me

deep, drooping
roses
colored in sunset hues
beckon for a chat within its perfumes

Flower seeds
(now, post-sprout)
grew
smirk
          at me
nestled between the
raging crowd of fresh weeds

"Well, adieu to you soon," me thinks.

Dew drops wink at me
charmed from up above the leaves
of my little mulberry tree

Our apple tree is barren once more
I blame the squirrels
they ate all of her fawn,
the oranges', too

yet why do I judge:
our orange tree is Stubborn

Hopefully the promises of rain
will
free you up,
stubborn one

or
maybe
we
need more gifting,
more fertilizer
and a tiny
                       bit more of love
I looked up
my vision rimmed with tall, graceful green trees

I spun
wearing a dress of stars

the blackness only
reminded me
how bright
the stars were
Harsh blinding glaring light,
eyes fluttering,
heart rendered!

Eyes quivering into spindles, as
knees wobble,
reverberating hands shake.

You teeter onto the edge.
'I wish',
you think,
'risk didn't taste
so sweet,
didn't shape
my late list of to-do's.

But it
is
too late for
that.'
The rain drops spelt out a dance of words
They would twirl and sink, flop around and blink
The sun came out
Now a disco party's happening
making the drops shine and gleam,
but when will it be night?
Tik tok
Tik tok
The moon crept up
pounced on the sun.
"YAY" said the droplets. "NOW LET'S HAVE SOME FUN"

The moon was deaf
The moon was blind
The moon was vain
without a hair in sight

The moon was a party wrecker, but
another host the drops couldn't find.

The droplets grumbled and sank back
"Tomorrow we can and shall find
someone better,
much
better,
like the sun! We have in mind"

The sun came out!
"YES" screamed the water

Alas, they had only half a second to spare
till they were dried
to bare to bare

at least
soon, they will be birthed sky-high
in the clouded
skies
But Hope shines bright
I sit numb and cold
The hard chair bites me awake
Time flew- 1:30 a.m.
why open a door
when you can open up a book?
the door, yes, can lead you somewhere
but a book can make you free
it was his silence that
ripped open the rest of the faltering stitches
of God
Crashes over me
like an eternal
infinite
ocean of waves
I look down at the water
fluffy clouds and solid trees
a glorious crystal sun and a silent pale moon
stars sprinkling their glitter across the heavens
a white butterfly flutters and blushes
my soul sings somber music
For what do we all have to do
to get that peace?
songs: Waymaker, So Will I, Reckless Love, Came to My Rescue,...
swirling green in those swirling blues

the opulent corners rotting,
pieces falling

polluted by rotting flesh and glassy shards and
swarming black hornets

the teardrop hisses from the sting, then
blackens
swish, goes the scraps into the trees
long and gone,
up to your knees

wrists twist, teeth clacks
snapping in dissonant
feelings of deepened anxiety

ropes of gum collect, spillage
springs from the lever, hurtling, slicing through the darkened sky
a second ticking post - (tiny fist smacking the dusty rusty button)

creaks of its broken joints drift in the air
"beep"
sings its sputtering e-battery, weakly
slowly, staggering
into the sleeping gathering arms of a mother
her broken form splayed crookedly within
the web of glistening pink
like the slimy throat of a monster
the vine spirals
Bound and wound about the temple’s rod
It’s dribbling a
sickly teal stream
Gurgling with spite and
mirth

Cocooned in
mystery,
Darts of birds fell on
me

Whispering one name over
And over
solidifying into a chant
Booming to the farthest barn
and swirling around
The closest farm

Children sent reeling, keeling
Onto the ***** dank floor

I can hear it now.

“The Raven King”
Like a science experiment
I feel as if that I have to
pour in a vial

grind in a sprig of love
drip in a little beauty

cough in some hair dye.

Stir in a bit of makeup
boil until the moon
shines, "it's alright".

Shred in different cloths
pour in a bit of sass.

How much longer
how many tillings left/
till
I am now

success?
< 2nd part coming >
That foot
goes over there
Arm tilted here
Chin up, square up

Pounce, bounce
Swish, swoosh
Feet squeaks against the greasy floor

The ball drips with sweat
jostle, muscled

arms tauter than string
or rope

she reaches, dances, jumps, SCORES

twenty-FIVE    toooo    sevenTEEN
blares, the ref, roars

citizens -1, netizens - none
webbed row-by-row,
hanging from pinpoints under the sky

buildings of inky grey and black, swirls
melting across their borders

a shadow of what-if events drained away

breathless, collapse on your back
muted, lolls your head,
hear the monitor
beep...
      beep...
   beep...

kicking and cursing
from behind the glasses hung over your heavy lidded eyes
Like flower petals, only sharper
slowly, bitingly gather in my broken, open hands
I catch the shards
of dreams, hope, love, a future-
a family.
Piece it together, you'll see
my suffering.
But in the same time,
my flowers will bloom
They will become stronger
They will become fighters
They will proudly hold up the torch of hope
Until the shards become one
he was a tsundere fool
captivated, but too late-
stress filled swollen veins
worries crowd in between neurons
tight and taut- explosion
fizzes...
Let worship and praise of Him rebound
across the great marble halls of snow!
Underneath that coat of color
is that same blank canvas
and
Underneath that colored skin
is the same vulnerable human
that's seathe-ed in all of us
by faith, I stand
My ID states-
a child of God
breaks into you

collapses your heart,
folds it like its flimsy

like a dollop of liquid

sloshing in its glass

the drink of the mourning
