Don't believe what they tell you
Think for yourself like you have come
here to save you.
Sage Woman

On this plane
we are flesh
made from real tears
and freshly spilt blood
we feel the incisions
to the bone
of everyday assaults
some minor
spoken words
some monumental
trauma that leaves
us stifled in our tracks
it's more than a dream
and more like a
never ending nightmare

It's all here
the pen
the paper
and the poet
perfectly
existing
simultaneous
in the
same
space
at
one
time...

I feel my age these days
bones creaking
the need to be well-oiled
like some kind of
tin woman
all rusted
on metal parts
I need refurbishing
then I could swag
with a new body
without dying
Be all bionic
built like
a brickhouse
again...

They told
lies with cold wives
sent their idle mothers
to die on tides
those treacherous nights
lead men to fight and
take flight
But She
was sent here
thru Her own thighs
they demised her wise and
planted her
six feet high
in the sky...

We are evolving
Finally the monster
is rising slowly and
rubbing its heavy eyes
to a pant less world
a world without
cut throats and apathy
"Your hierarchary
is crumbling"
and people are jumping
from high places
the glass shattering
above us
None of us have anything
to wear but this same
nakedness
the same wounds
weeping and yet, there are
those of us who truly
want to heal.

Give them a drink
then watch them cascade
to the sky
they look for the good food
light from the Sun
will pour into your soul
when you remember to
give them a drink
and breathe...
