Sapphire and Harmony
Kiefer D McRay Jan 2014
I've come to find power in harmony.
The pleasant color of sapphire ~
Azure memories collapsing together.
Ignite my mind's fire with sympathy.
I'm breathing the gossip of my heart.
It's fleeting romances coming off as art.
In harmonious love under the blue, blue sky...
It's always alone that I see myself die.
Taking this as another empty rhyme.
One left for the books, to become dust.
Rivers of crime and evil lust.
They're what fill the minds...
Most definitely what binds;
Those who don't see the world in sapphire harmony.

The Newer One.
Kiefer D McRay Jan 2014
New, mirrored perspective.
I can feel it pulsing in my words.
In my stillness.
Pristine thoughts ~ Higher and glistening.
While the everyday folk wander outside,
I'm meekly wondering.   Wishing that -
Somewhere, somehow.
My two sides would coincide.
Now bereaved of options.
Respectively, bow your head.
Accept no more pleading adoptions.
Those abyssal sparks can stay dead.
We will only see ahead.

Foundry
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
Loosen your pattern,
Locked in cloth.
The shaded memories dampen.
Blurred be the images of your emotionally betroth,
By the beloved froth
Your horrendous sloth hereby hearken.
The age of light...
What a frivolous delight!

Insofar as to say that all things float.
That's it's just one big game -
Of hide and seek.
“Oh no, what a shame!” Such is presumably remote.
And disgustingly meek.

See that star?
You've come to adore?
Will you spare yourself what you know isn't healthy?
Knowing that all things are.
Dying and nothing more.
You see the tranquil secrets very deftly.

Oh what's this? Face forward!
Feet a' stepping!
Hearts a' ticking!
The truth's all backwards...
But who cares?...
“A human with any insight would say that they don't need a purpose. -
Surplus filled the brightest emotions; Will to commit heinous actions.
A malicious goal reduced to a fraction of importance.
Time to think of yourself in this instance.
The emotions of others the next,
For this most surely directs,
Superfluous answers at last.
This life just moves too fast...”
Says the man who thoughtfully stares.

But oh great joyous occasion!
Oh this glorious revelation!
The presents of the past deny the presence of the present.
Your eyes deceive you; These thoughts control you.
Free the mind within it's own boundaries -
You see all things have a subconscious foundry.

The Truth Beholden
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
Watch me rise beyond death.
Right past your eyes and hypocritical breath.
With which you prophetically announce,
and so pathetically denounce.
Me in every way possible.
You're a flea, demeaning common day people.
Words completely self-centered and feeble.

May your dreams fester and rot.
Your soul diminish to a dot
Spiritless demon be sickened.
With a liar's oath you'll be stricken.
Sight clouded with the lives of those shot.

Beyond my hate
Or a wish of your hellish fate.
Knowledge that you too, should be saved.
Show an ellipse of a faithful rave.
An open ear, to my following words to be paved.

Maybe a chance will be presented.
A chance to deny hell, lamented.
Make an honest word or fall.
Slip a tear or become a thrall.
An eclipse of the evils to be repented.

Through all of the sin.
And superfluous din.
Of the life we in.
You'll find a truth beholden.
And the chance unbroken.

It's never too late to turn round on your heel
and feel a feeling too real to be left under ground.
Below the surface of your expression.
Answers to an ageless question.
Should I love my above brethren?

Forever Dancers
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
There's an inner sinking in my ocean.
A billowing crescent, waxed devotion
Whispering within the subtleties of breath.
I believe in what will cause our death.
I believe discovering our inner selves,
In among the mixed revelations,
Dainty compilations facing dilapidation.
The many soulless miners delve deeper.
When you learn who you are past the shouts of the gods.
Shattering composure with their mighty voices.
Left to one's own devices, secreting away the factual answers.
Humans dreaming in spite of their own conscious, forever dancers.
When you learn you're like the rest, a part of the whole.
What will hold up to you? As the best, the beauty of the soul.

Blue Skies, Open Eyes
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
Blue skies, open eyes.
I love you, it's not new.
Drifting clouds, shuffling doubts.
Feel you close to me, we don't have to go that route.
Running feet, sit and weep.
But every time you catch up with me, and every time you're there to keep.
Deathly shadows, feeling fated...
But with you it's like we're no longer dated.
Blue skies, open your eyes my dear. For you I'm always here, and for you I'll always fear.
Red dawn shared between us, but even the sun doesn't seem to rush... and with that you blush.
Blue skies, shut your eyes my love. You don't need to see, that we're always gonna be free.

Black Rainbow
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
Black Rainbow full of power and thought
Show me what you've got.
Let me follow you into the field of  flowers with not -
a single soul that lies sleeping
Weeping.
Keeping secrets, dancing with the darker shades of the bowers.
Silver-Tongued demons filling our minds with loveless lies and needles goodbyes.
Come now, sweet, shaded, rainbow
Invite us to your realm to be forever broken down.
Lost in a year 'round sunlight.
Never to remember the dark night.
Treacherous floating feelings.
Allow me to confide in you my dealings
So that I might remember the dangerous tides.
While you sit there hiding.
And riding your thoughtless, detrimental ride.
I'm not afraid of dying.
Rainbow of reality's truer situations.
Speak now of your colors and ignite my eternal revelation.

Quartz and Melody
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
We'll live off contemporary breaths
Feeling the others resonating behest.
Faltering novelties woven at peace by pieces sampling these dangerous games.
Strutting their stuff, presence increased, releasing their hold over the tame.
Grand new shapes in sight
Moving closer, my feet are too fast.
How many past times can this outlast?
Inflated euphoria, bleeds over and takes me aghast.
Lining my heart, these infectious consorts and subtleties.
Letting me believe only in quartz and melody.

Sweet Hour Of Nine
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
Sweet death at the hour of nine.
Face in the crowd,
ever so endowed.
With that heavy liar's shroud.
Your fate has been interlocked to mine.

Now it's time to find out how
We can die without your lies.
And possess, but not hold onto,
an eternal truth, never to be addressed.
Awaken your heart to view itself
To see that we're all the same spirit.
Take it or leave it.
An existentialist could believe it.

Self written fountain of wealth.
How do you know shapes didn't design themselves?
A thought, sparked in time.
Telling of things known and things told.
Spinning rings, the softest rhymes.
Such a sight unseen is beautiful to behold.

An unfortunate effect, don't think your mind defected.
A truth once cherished is a truth later embellished.
So run with me, at the sweetest hour of nine.
A glowing moon bewitched by our dance of dreams within reality.
And when the hour comes to lose our immortal shine.

You and I will remember singing ever so thoughtfully.
Our own sleeping hymn that we long ago lost but still feel there.
Maybe one day, our hearts will forget they forgot.
And leave our souls once again bare.
To fly unhindered, even the heavens being resigned.
At that sweet hour of nine.

Mister Pariah's New Suit
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
To house such an adequate thought
and reverse your new born doubt.
You'll become a pariah,
bathed in defile.
Textbook definition, modern-day messiah.
Lies filled with truth, shiny gold in your bile.
Polluting the space between love and life.
Hammering in your image of grief and strife.

It's all moving down a road, the wrong road.
All deciphering this code, it's the right code.
Transfixed at implications of there being any news.
Buying an idea, mister pariah.  You've got the blues.
And the highway traveling shoes.
But it's buying, not acquiring.
You seem to forget you spent all your dying moments.
Simply to seek this race's long lost atonement.
You've only bought the right to rot alone.

So now, oh great and high in regard, pariah.
You still think you're the main arm? The big alpha?
Time to realize your life's a farm, without it's farmer
While you wander around wearing armor.
Pretending to be a revolutionary of the highest order!
Climb down this throne, mister pariah.
Feed your family and need your friends.
Go pick out all your favorite odds and ends.
Make sure life is full of thrills...
and stop trying to build these chaotic hills -
of distress
and just confess that things are as they are
No matter how hard this seems to bare
That love is far, but we can make it there.
Hell, might already be near to it.
Time to get a new suit.

Where We'll Be
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
The light gives a new ray to you,
and in the great blue, shift your gaze to see what's new;
A fraction of love in the sky, divided by the square root of one who's died.
An equation that's never written, but always seen.
The splendor of fields that will only shine green,
Leak into a new dimension, a place where only you and I
and him and her,
Or she and he,
Begin to sleep for a moment's respite, floating like your wonderful kite.

And it's there where you'll begin to care.
And it's there where we'll all modestly stare,
Into the past, at that one part that just couldn't last.  Oh it fell apart so fast...
But it's there, there in those creamy clouds drifting in the baby blue,
Where you realize you've already flew.
You've been here all along, it just took a ray of light to show that to you.

Now come on, take my hand.
Grip it tightly and walk with me.
So you can meet everyone you've always known, they're over there, playing in the sand.
Come lay here against the ocean's melody, at the edge of the world, we're here to have fun.
Tell me what it's like to be done, to have seen all there is to be...

New Heart Flame
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
New heart flame so bright
Atop this ancient Candle
Awakes my day-old fright.
Fiery memories of this forgotten scandal.

I wouldn't recommend -
Defending someone so lost in their own eyes.
Their soul flies
No need to compromise.
Everyday is self-justified.

It's a way to think,
breathe,
eat, and feel.
All about me,
every speech, step, and meal.

You can't reprimand.
After all, it's tough to need
To be needed.
To let yourself actually care,
That kinda thing slightly impairs.
Your sense of judgment I hear.

Always been unmovable.
Every day, just me and the sun.
All my dreams, so approachable.
In between, my daily fun.
Until a new heart flame came bursting through
Bearing gifts and cursing me with thoughts of you.
Strike my morals with your lightning bolt of a smile.
An instant to re-think, and deny my deepest denials.

We as humans think colors when we feel emotions.
Something our brain does, call it thought recognition.
A crimson flame turned brighter magenta.
Within my ever-cautious aura.
Mixing simplicity with complications.

New heart flame
I wonder if I need you.
Lavender stroke of luck, guess it doesn't matter.
No one's to blame
At least now I've something to do.
Spending every day trying to flatter.

Learned a lesson on love today.
That it's just being who you are, every bit you can admit.
With someone standing there and accepting it.
Like a new heart flame shinning there in the fray.
Or just telling someone something you never thought you'd say.
That I'm always here for you, and I'll never quit.

A Hope There Is
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
A comatose hero holds the keys.
A wail of death breathes through the leaves.
Sleep stirring, simply tragic.
Dreams shinning, a glow cosmic.
A hope there is, one believes.

A Simple Story
Kiefer D McRay Feb 2013
So may the sunrise bring hope where it once was forgotten.
Breaking into this newest rhyme, the elegant look of it begotten.
Take a breath at the start the calamity – the world's burning underneath.
Thousands of troops surveying every detail, a boy's yearning new beliefs.
Detached and shattered, the city in ruins,
Solar flares cascading, astral physics unrelenting.
Luminescent morals breaking your every truth.
The big man up top seeks to call upon the youth,
A brighter future in the newest hearts,
Clouded with the propaganda of the oldest parts.

Bewilderment betwixt – Forsaken are the people.
Angst among-st – Foresight brought up, merely to stifle.
Moving along, starting this act number two.
Dancing spirits and mobilizing geniuses, seeing this through.
They're starting to understand the severity in this system -
The length of the task that's been given, gifted to em'
But trials and tribulations, provocation of our flaws.
Begin to reel our “Heroes”, strip them of their claws.
Defenseless against fate, meandering hordes of evil,
Stifling the air, belittling the nation, leaving themselves revealed.

Like a prophet of old, stating philosophy.
Or a modern heretic rambling on equality.
The living now fall into their shoes, what was always meant to happen.
Now let this breath of air release itself, whimpering in your soul.
You're allowed to take another, because it's what makes you whole.
What has cast these abyssal shades now sits on a glorious throne.
In these final statements there's nothing left to condone.
Brilliant blackness combating the murky white.
Stinging, stabbing, exclaiming in their violent delight.
The true light lost, for too high is the cost.
Tragic at best, hidden forever – an eternal rest.

Cyclic in nature, just as a poet's line.
History will repeat within it's confines.
Teaching only to stow away all hate or visions of glamour.
To be only the best in what you've seen of this life.
Time to fire the actors and stop contending.
Break the tradition, be your own character.
Every chapter comes with an ending,
and after ending a new chapter.

— The End —
