all you're t h
right now,
is how you aren't perfect.

well perfection is a myth,
a tale,
a legend,
a story told to young girls & boys,
so that they keep coming home,
and looking in their mirrors. | .srorrim

Your back looks like a brick wall
after climbing out from bed,
my fingernails give less scars than what
a blanket or two can do.

Do you
wrap them around your neck
while you sleep, do
you love them more than me?

I would give you my arms if you didn’t
already have them.

wearing the finest robes,
i sit on a coward's throne,
adorned with jewels on my head,
lies my crown of bone.
when i stand,
all must kneel,
and if you're a rebellious swine,
there are ways to make you squeal.
with the slight of my hands,
a child will die,
and the mother will watch,
and the brother shall cry.
my breakfast is gold,
and lunch: the peoples' hopes,
dinner are those who defy me,
who can be found hanging by ropes.
now leave me be,
for i have a kingdom to rule,
and if you dare go against me,
you're a ******* fool.

*i'd be the happiest person ever, if you woke here
i wish and dream and pray this every time i fall asleep
males (maybe just from my experience)
seem to hide their pain in anger
females (maybe just my experience)
seem to not try and show the wrong people

male poets (maybe just my view)
show their pain in creativeness that evokes hurt
              female poets (maybe just me)
show their hurt in words that evoke understanding

male poets (just what i've noticed)
           express love
female poets (just what i think)
           express love

maybe that's why i fell for a poet
he expresses love, shows his pain
maybe that's why he fell for a poet
i express love, tell my pain right

we just understand eachother well
      ~love
apologies if this makes no sense

once,
you were smiling
your eyes reflecting
not only sunlight
but happiness

now,
you're smiling
your droopy eyes reflecting
not only tiredness
but emotionless

then,
you're smiling
your closed eyes reflecting
not only stillness
but death and peacefulness
