"Numb"
Josue B Dec 2013
Known for original, and I won’t replicate them.
Today’s sun is gone, still got the moon.
But why so soon? I’m tired of this tune.

My heart’s been broke, too many, too much.
Pain finally made me numb..or perhaps I’m just at peace..

Turn off the clock, turn on my watch..
Let me escape with only some scotch
Dim the lights, only a notch..

Don’t feel a thing, not even a sting
What will this bring? A heart break till spring..

Finally went numb..or perhaps I’m just at peace

"My Denial"
Josue B Dec 2013
One thing leads to the next; out of no where you were gone.
So this night will be no sleep; no use for counting sheep.
While the sound of your name haunts me all night long.

But I feel so free, since you walked out of my sight.
Trying to convince myself that I feel numb
I’m not lying; I’m only denying.

As soon as I saw your inner face, I should have erased you
But how can I? Knowing I can’t live without you!
Unfortunately I wasn’t wrong, but I’ll pretend I was

"Return to Sender"
Josue B Dec 2013
Bandages on the wall, they’ve also absorbed it all.
Holes on the wall, reminders that my childhood has dropped the ball.
I’ve been trying too hard to fade away from you, but you’re the reason why I’m here
Making my life now so unclear.

And I’m staring at these four walls again, remembering all that was said, no reason to come back again, the one there was is already dead. This heavy letter cries “Return to Sender”

A lonely house and abandoned rooms occupied with empty hearts, but you didn’t even let me say farewell..

"The Picture You See"
Josue B Dec 2013
Worn up and jaded; yet no weakness to be found.
They’ve all created the picture you see before your eyes.
I’ve been betrayed and not from enemy lines
It has washed away all the good in me
I’ll give you answers to questions that you only ask when you’re dead

You made the part, you played the part
Don’t dare to say I’m in your heart

I’m so used up; forgave, I thought they would change
So now I have to create conclusions of my own
To explain to myself why their hypocrisy wasn’t shown

You made the part, you played the part
Don’t dare to say I’m in your heart
They’ve all created the picture you see before your eyes…

"Ends Here'
Josue B Dec 2013
To stand up here and look at where you stand; you finally found where you belong.
Our past gets more uncomfortable; seeing that it’s the life of it all.
Modern obstacles will make you lose years in one second.
With a knot in my throat I can finally say…

After all the laughs we had, this book ends here.

You’ll walk past me and think; there goes someone I used to know.
Memories eating me away, all at its worst; to think our noses were the ones who kissed first. It was a long search for me, but a short goodbye for thee.

With a knot in my throat I can finally say…
After every long night, this book ends here

"Must Come to Past"
Josue B Dec 2013
We had our laughs, maybe we cried, but I hope our reason to be was to make an old tick die. I wanted you to feel, to see with your own eyes, what it was to be free.

Never a safe goodbye, though things have been cleared, our words can only express our troubled hearts.

So how does it feel? To find the unexpected in the expected? When someone finally let’s you down. I have to leave us behind, to take you with me and have some dignity or peace of mind.

That’s how things last. That’s how things always last.

We had our laughs, maybe we cried…you’ll look back and see that for us to last we first have to come to past.

"Can we still Stay?"
Josue B Dec 2013
Our night is to end. It's been foretold by those who mend, note to self: don't you dare break, remember no one knows who made the mistake.

Can we still stay in the darkness? Hold as the moon dies away.

The end is on our tongues now. There's no point for explanations. The cloudier it gets the more clear, but always remember who I am dear.

Can we still stay in the darkness? Hold as the moon dies away.
Even the brightest star fell from grace and no existing can take its place.

— The End —
