This morning is a poem-
In between the drifting clouds
Amidst the silent trees
Plays
The eternal song
Of the ephemeral.
I did not ask for you to love me,
But instead for the illusion
That with your body next to mine,
We’d vanish in the depth of time
Into the most beautiful of places.

I did not ask for you to love me,
But instead I asked for silence.
And with my head upon your chest
I closed my eyes to dream,
That somehow you did love me
In the most beautiful of ways.
Words are lovely
but can sometimes be dull
depending on your mood.
You can make someone fall in love,
or break an innocent heart,
or have someone jump with glee,
or maybe have a poor soul wallow in despair.
Words can sometimes sting
just as much as it can comfort.
So next time you write something down,
think twice.
You may not be saying something nice.

Found this as I was rummaging through old tattered notebooks. Enjoy.

Day
o’ face of wicked mystery, with suffering comes you slyly to fool me
with your trickery and play with my naivete.
acquire what you wish of me, some jewelry or my first baby?
such graciousness is never free
                              (however gracious you may be)
                                                      so listen to my one last plea, I will not beg upon my knees;
with revelation you must flee.
I glimpse your eyes staring at the shadows in my soul
Seeking to calm the wildly rushing storm
Keeping my heart out of control
Unable to keep
The beat
Pulsating whole

I stare into eyes seeking to calm the storms
To make my heart their own
Leaving chambers once cold now warm
My heart begins to pulsate
To the beat
Of a song, it's always known

Buried longings softly rush, to be finally freed
From this heart out of control
Once a half now pulsates complete
Your eyes chase shadows
Calming storms,
My heart
Returns to whole
