Running form the distant sun
Escaping things that he begun
Should he turn around and see
A future that he knows can't be
Continue on this beaten path
Alone he walks leaving his track
Memories carved in these imprints
The past behind he starts to sprint
Forward on to hope and whim
That someones there meant for him
Looking ahead he sees a cloud
Striving forward through the crowd
The fog uncovers who you are
We fall in love from afar
Things are great he feels alive
Those prints he laid never arise
Then one day you cheat and lie
The cycle repeats he starts to cry
Why would this happen again
Must be bad luck to much for him
Reaching for the loathing door
He sees the path to face once more
He runs from the distant sun
Escaping that thing which he begun

Making an everlasting impression on me
Training the wisdom that one will seek
Thought it would be easier to watch you leave
Too many memories cause the eyes to leak
Look through the dark and you shall see
Nothing is forever or lasts eternally
So when it comes the time to give my peace
I'll walk away knowing that your minds at ease.

You get mistaken for strangers by your own friends
When you pass them at night under the silvery, silvery Citibank lights
Arm in arm in arm and eyes and eyes glazing under
Oh, you wouldn't want an angel watching over, surprise, surprise, they wouldn't wanna watch
Another uninnocent, elegant fall into the unmagnificent lives of adults

The mind of this man
is not one to understand
for this he'll be ******
before it even began
he realizes this in lumber
why his worlds in a plunder
if his negatives outnumber
then would he wonder
why things are getting ruff
as he breaths in this stuff
to much time more than enough
one more day to act tough
he'll think of this and see
life's more than just me
turn the lights off and flee
runway to make believe
where he's stuck and he roams
in this place that's unknown
where he feels so alone
it's my mind I call it, home.

This distance is a firefly
Flying by an ocean side
Imprisoned in unconscious mind
Watching as the skylight dies
Waking in the morning light
All in one a troubled mind
I don't care about your life
I'm a mess I don't lie..

Bench near the railroad
Light shining down
I'm drenched, wallowed
My omens around
Take a few steps deliverance drowned
The dawning arises oblivion found.
