Before I’m Paralyzed
Jordan Collins
Jun 2021
Before I’m Paralyzed
Don’t bully me,
Respect me.
Don’t talk down on me,
Listen to me.
Don’t interrupt me,
Caress me.
Don’t ignore me,
Hold me.
Just love and lust me.
Because,
Just like you,
I’m gonna die too.

In Orange He Glows
Jordan Collins
Oct 2019
In Orange He Glows
A spirit lost
Is a drifting ghost
Searching for
Its body gone
Thoughts and prayers
Said and said
A mind paralyzed
A body misled
Bleed and bleed
With tears swelling
Drowning a mind
Of questions of curing
But yet tonight
The pale moonlight
Burns brighter than
Tomorrow’s light
As north becomes south
Its revolving smarts
Remind me all
All about you
And I’m fine again
Happy but sad
Still in a body
That’s going mad
Then a light breeze
Fools me
Blinds me
Shows me
Says to me
Hello dire friend
And I stop
Thinking of the end
As half becomes whole
Spirit no more a ghost
My impatience divides
As it enters its old host
And now
And for tomorrow
All I wait on
All I’m assured on
All I’m motivated on
Is also seeing you
Once again

Don’t give me a gun
Just let me be
I’ll be happy

The Grimm Reeper

The Grimm Reeper
He who is dark,
Walks the tallest.
He who is light,
Walks the smallest.
He who is dark,
Talks the loudest.
He who is light,
Talks the most modest.

With My Eyes Closed

With My Eyes Closed
I hardly remember,
A warm December.
Or a healthy high?
Until I told my family goodbye.
