Jay Cooper Dec 2014
you grin and i know not why
i trembled from inside
the scent of a filthy molded twilight
familiar as fermented grapes
still festering within

a knowing grin sore to my eyes
of this I internally despise
a form, a dialog, a ratchet blow
humane as a weathered withered rose
erectly clinging to vitality

Out Of Spite
Jay Cooper Dec 2014
I looked upon your lips that said
"I love you so very much"
Then looked against them twice when hence
they blew a trumpet out of spite

Familiar
Jay Cooper Nov 2014
Your eyes are to me
the entrance into your soul
I look at you and enter
Your soul I see and feel
I glance around
At everything that is mine
Familiar, like a room I've walk through before
a long, long time ago
All my life and now returned
One glance at me
And I feel
Your ultimate possession of my being
In there we become complete
In there we also see
the spaces that life has changed
Together we hold on
We look at the spaces, the new changes
We look around again and behold,
everything inside is altered just for us
blended, gathered and made anew
life wraps us as we are wrapped inside one another
you look at me and I at you and halted we stand
mesmerized in a trance
locked into our souls
comfortable, complete, familiar and intrigue
Never wanting to be without
Never to let the other go
For always together becomes our theme

SLEEPLESSNESS
Jay Cooper Nov 2014
She couldn’t sleep so she wrote
Of her abiding love for him
Forever and a day she wrote
On white paper with a pen
Words like infinity
Undying, unrelenting desires
Efflorescence, epochal, perpetual and ambiance
She says love is like a flower
It changes the mood of a space
By its fragrance
And it lasts forever
Never giving up as it
Continuously blooms
Knowing no measure
She didn’t fall asleep till after midnight
And loved him all the while she wrote
Dreaming of flowers, eternity, time and space
