There’s little of the story known
Once the ocean turned to foam
The suds covered up the earth
Like a newborn babies birth
Then it melted from the rising sun
Bursting bubbles, one by one
Until the earths restored and new
Stunned in turn by a bird side view
Peering down from high above
Claws outstretched and that thereof
To see the earth as squeaky clean
Not judging like a war machine
Where love runs deep and freedom reigns
Then settles in and breaks the chains
She stared into his eyes
Filled to the brim with lies
It was liars she despised
And swindlers who connived
It was as if she’d won a prize
When he admitted he had lied
She admired his new candor
To which she had been previously deprived
They lived happily ever after
In a world they both contrived
Filled with butterflies and laughter
Where nothing ever dies
A kiss for the ages
An epic embrace
A long lasting voyage
Through time and through space
An infinite journey
Towards what can’t be replaced
It’s the thrill of the hunt
The thrill of the chase
Having the courage
To come face to face
If just for the moment
That it all gets erased
From the seasonings you use‬
‪To that oh so pleasant smell‬
‪The aromas from the kitchen ‬
‪In someways, casts a spell‬
They come from far
They come from wide
From tales of what you can provide
‪My stomach growls‬
‪My mouth has drool‬
‪My tastebuds yearn‬
‪My eyes get full‬
‪Using only the ingredients ‬in front of you ‬
‪You turn them into something beautiful‬
How do I find you?
Where do I go?
I’d search through the desert
I’d freeze in the snow
My mind cannot fathom
A world all alone
I’ve searched every crevice
Lifted each stone
But I still cannot find you
To have and to hold
And hand you this locket
Made of diamonds and gold
They’re the eyes of acceptance
A warm amber glow
From a side of the person
You’re reluctant to show
You’re the embers of fire
To watch burning slow
You’re the breeze through the night
That comes and then goes
You’re the garden of Eden
The bud of a rose
Vulnerable, you leave me
Completely exposed
But grateful you’ll have me
The one that you chose
I’m distraught but unabashed
My futures in the trash
I wagered every dime I had
All my hard earned cash
I have little to no chance
Of regaining all my cash
So I’ll start again
And be back in a flash
I’ve taken my last stance
On money and romance
So I guess I’ll have to reassess my evil ways
