A kiss, a kiss
The thing that they most missed
While away, every day
Protecting our homeland
She prayed, she prayed
To protect her Navy man
And on the day of his return
She scurried to the base
To meet her man, to meet her man
And kiss him on the face
When their eyes met, when their eyes met
He took her by the hand
And kissed her deep with all his might
Under the moonlight, on dry land
You’re my inspiration
You’re my lock and key
You’re my lover and my teacher
You are my everything

My muse for my creation
You have my utmost admiration
For the gift that keeps on giving
For the entire presentation

I stood for the duration
At the railway station
Traveling around the world
In complete anticipation

Righting all my wrongs
For fear of my damnation
6 feet on the ground
What in the tarnation?!

I was given my probation
I’m parched; need rehydration
I just need a little patience
With my vocal *******

And when this thing is over
I’m taking a vacation
Just imagine my elation
From letting go of my frustration
Every day is lost or spent
Immersed in fear and discontent
Struggling with my own defects
Despite my irrelevant relevance

I mask my fear with intelligence
My smile is of no consequence
It’s meant to shade my past regrets
And to hide my lies in self defense

There’s no clue or evidence
To prove of my benevolence
Just remnants of my ill content
To shoulder my indifference

I’m in danger from the elements
From years of all my recklessness
That’s why I’m so hesitant
For discussion or my sentiments

No sabotage or parlor tricks
I’m in the game, I’m in the mix
I couldn’t be more direct
I’m destined for the apocalypse

If you can’t hear, me read my lips
My moves have grooves, it’s in the hips
I had it all but lost my grip
And ended up with fingerprints
Sitting at home alone tonight
When I could be airborne taking flight
I wish and wish with all my might
I know one day I’ll see the light

Thirsty on the desert sand
Water highly in demand
Listen to the Lord‘s command
Take me to a far off land

Suffocating humidity
Steam rising from the streets
Dismantling all of my impurities
I never meant to keep

The rain, it falls from high above
Cloudy, like my brain
But I’d rather not speak of it
If it’s all the same

Festering like a bee hive
Danger to the queen
Swarming like the honey bee
Yet, I still feel it’s sting

Healthy and appealing
The pleasure that it brings
Is it worth the cost
For all those without wings?

Sweet, yet unrefined
In its purist form
Coagulated syrup
Natures unicorn
Just like tears in the rain
Our feelings get washed away
So no one knows how we really feel
And makes our world seem gray
Sometimes we just need something
Sometimes we just need someone
To pass away the day
To see things in a different light
And in a different way
The dogs stooped down below the iron gates
Ready for whatever awaits
Their master seems to be running late
As they sit watching down the road he takes
Any minute; any second now
He’ll be walking down the street
And won’t it be a joyous day
If he’s brought with him some treats.
Just a boy and his faithful dog
In the winter down by the lake
They sat and watched the ducks at play
While making little wake
They listened to the mating calls
And picked out their favorite ones
Then they both went home to eat
As the moon replaced the sun
