I still remember the first time, And I wish I could prolong the last, Savouring every precious moment, Attempting to satisfy this glutenous thirst, Even though I have forgotten my birth, I wonder if the light of this Earth, Burned my brand new eyes, Those instinctive gulps of cold air, Shocking my lungs, But I reckon it was the knowledge of what was to come, That bought those first tears, We mourn our own entries into this planet, And we fear our departure, Oh what sorrow our hearts know, That is why they constantly bleed, And our souls become derelict and empty, Yet we still convince ourselves, That this life is a blessed gift, Take a moment of silence, To revel in the irony, We throw our hands in the air, In an act of prayer, Please Almighty God, Take the pain of this life, And make it a currency, To pay to make the next one good, Clinging to this idea, We named it hope, We sought comfort in the knowledge of the unknown, And it was here on top of these ever shifting foundations, We built our homes, Raising our own families, Just searching for love, In this abyss of a planet, We raised daughters and gave them names, Such as Faith and Grace, Those qualities of which we had none, We bore sons and trained them, To be brave and strong, So we could put the weight of our world, Upon them, We pointed our fingers and blamed our forefathers, For each and every way, That we went wrong,

Did you think, That we had no purpose?
That the stars were there, Just for our consideration?
To make pictures and call them constellations - To guide us on our journeys, Perhaps for some consolation?
To simply light the night sky, For observation?
To read them like books, And make predictions, With no understanding?
Did you really think, That was their only reason?

Perhaps you believe that we are all kings, And the land was placed here, Solely for our possession; It is ours for the taking!
To dig it up, Tear it down, And build our fences all around?
So now you think, You own all the world;
All the oceans, All the seas, All the animals, All the trees,
So you can do with it, Whatever you please?

But for all the life you have taken, You have surely been mistaken, So re-write history all you like;
And worship the stars, That are only visible by night, For when your eyes, Meet the glowing horizon, And you come to the realization, That in the light of day your idols disappear, And they cant save you, Remember that it was you, Who sat on that throne, Crowned yourself king, And sought to own, Gods creation.

It never did belong to me
She ruled the kingdom of my heart, My other half, It started before I had the capacity to remember, She had always been there, He owned my mind, body and soul, The man I loved, I gave him complete control, She was my most trusted, Over him I lusted, My holy trinity, Between them they had the power to begin and finish me, I lived in nirvana, A mirage of ecstasy, They were my religion, I praised them as Gods, She a Venus, He a Zeus; I guess that made me persephone, Tempted by the fruit, Of something too good to be true, Abusing his power, I became blind, When hades saw the light, But I didnt realise, She broke my heart, That temptress of love, I sought comfort in our aeons, But she was already gone, Abandoned by my Gods, Blindly lost in hell, It was a great height, From which I fell, She devoured my heart, Still beating and bleeding, He sold my soul, Used my body and tortured my mind, I thought I had made the greatest sacrifice, Another thing I had never realised, Were my greatest assets, I had been so proud to give, My heart, My mind, Body and soul, They never did belong to me, In the first place, They were never truly mine to give.

Beasts
Savage beasts roam the streets searching for prey so that they may feed hunting the weak clutching their necks within their teeth taking their lives without a second thought tasting the iron blood on their thirsty tongues to them the taste is sweet sleeping on full full stomachs and empty hearts the guilty have no remorse

The sound of death
Can Heaven be heard, Above the clouds, Do the angels make a sound? Imagine celestial music, Riding on the waves of the Atlantic, While fate orchestrates life, And all of its movements, Maybe we could catch a whisper, Listening at the top of a mountain, Would the wind tease our ears, Condemning our intentions, We could dance to it,  On the shoreline, Searching for truth in our distorted reflections, Our eyes greedily seeking perfection, Could we pretend that we had heard, The most beautiful notes, And not be punished for lying, Would there be any reward in trying? Could our hearts do justice to the love, That would surely be carried within the notes from above, Without attempting to claim it as our own, And forging human lyrics upon the song, Would our audience ruin the sincerity, Of something made of purity, And all the blessings be gone? Or do we chance the wait of death to meet our souls, And hope that what awaits, Is not instead, The howling of Hell.

Inspire me. Enter my dreams. Watch me sleep,
Guide me, show me the way - lead me down any path.
                                                                                            Serenade me. Use the strings of a violin. Don't sing.
Envision me, sitting cross legged. Praying.
                                                                       Run with me. Slow motion, my hair flying in the breeze.

Hold me. Tight.
                          Listen when you know
I'm right
               Join with me. Be one
of my team.
                    Look at me - look me in they eyes. Hold my gaze,
                                              watch me smile.

                          Hold my hand. Squeeze it
                                                                      tight.

Raise me up, so my feet don't tough the ground.
                                                                                 Whisper beautiful
words. I'll close my eyes. Listen to your sound.
                                                                              Breath in deep. let it go. S. L. O.Wwww.
                  Show me. Teach me. Intrigue me. Please meeee. Please me.
Swing me round. Hold me under my armpits.

Wrap me. Right around your waist. Now spin again.
Pull me. Close. No closer. That's right.

                                                       SHOWER ME.
                                       With love.
                                                        With hugs.
                                                                          With affection.
                       And all that other stuff.
Follow me. When I beckon to you.
                                                          Walk next to me. When I walk with you.

Laugh at me. When I laugh at you.
                                                                        Live life with me.
                                                        Travel with me. Explore me.
                                                (haha)
                                                           With your tongue.

Do whatever you want.

                                       Choose me. Then show me why. Make me laugh. Make me smile.

Know my mind. Just try.

Little Light
THEY BOXED YOU IN, PUSHED YOU DOWN, THEY SPOKE IN YOUR FACE WITH WHISPERS, AND BEHIND YOUR BACK, THEY THOUGHT OUT LOUD, THEY DIMMED YOUR LIGHT, AND WET YOUR FIRE, THEY CRITICIZED YOUR POWER, THEY TOOK YOUR ENERGY, TO BURN YOU OUT - LITTLE LIGHT. SHINE ON LITTLE LIGHT, SHINE ON. THEY TRIED TO MAKE YOU BLOW A FUSE, YOU DID NOT KNOW THEIR PLANS FOR YOU. THEY WANTED TO CRACK YOUR DELICATE SHELL, BUT YOU WERE TOO HIGH, THEY COULD NOT REACH, YOU WERE ABOVE THEIR EVIL AIMS, THEY LEFT YOU IN SUSPENSE DAY AND NIGHT, THEIR SEATS NEVER FAR FROM THE SWITCH, IN CASE YOU GOT TOO BRIGHT, BUT WHEN YOU DID JUST AS THEY ASKED, AND USED LESS OF YOUR INCREDIBLE POWER, THEY ARGUED THEY COULD NOT SEE THROUGH THE DARKNESS, AND THREATENED TO REPLACE YOU WITH ANOTHER.

BUT STILL YOU SHONE ON - LITTLE LIGHT, YOU SHONE ON THROUGH THE DARKEST HOURS.

SHINE ON LITTLE LIGHT.
LITTLE LIGHT SHINE ON.

YOU SHONE JUST AS BRIGHT AS THE SUN, PROVIDING ENOUGH WARMTH- FOR EV-ER-Y-ONE.

LITTLE LIGHT - THEY COULD NOT BEAR, TO BE IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR SIGHT.

THEY WANTED TO USE ALL OF YOUR GOODNESS. ******* IT UP LIKE A PREGNANT MOSQUITO. YOU REMAINED SO STRONG - EVEN WHEN YOU WERE SO WEAK. BUT OF YOURSELF YOU DO NOT SPEAK - KNOWLEDGE AND HAPPINESS, IS ALL YOU DARE SEEK.

LITTLE LIGHT YOU WILL REMAIN BRIGHT, LONG AFTER THEY HAVE HAD THEIR FEED. YOU WILL INCREASE EVERY SINGLE POSITIVE THING, SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN FREED.

I KNOW YOU WILL SHINE ON - LONG AFTER EVERY STAR.
LITTLE LIGHT YOU WILL SHINE ON FOREVER. ER. ER
FOREVER.ER.ER

Fear, shame and pride are all things that will stop you pursuing; but love, love will move you.
This is not a poem, perhaps a poetic rambling.

Time/The Grand Scale
I am nothing. Nothing at all. I am not even a speck of dust. I am not the tiniest grain of sand and, much less a blade of grass. I am not a drop in the ocean, nor a scale on a fish. I am not a hair that has grown on any head. I am not a particle, or even an atom. I am definitely not a nucleus. I am nothing, nothing at all.

Moonlight Sonata
Another moon has risen, One more day is done, The darkness of the night envelopes me like a comfort blanket, As though I were it's only one,
Wrapping me up within it's folds, Covering me with clusters of stars, In a haven of dreams, Where I never have to wake up;
Leaving my nightmares in the redness of the dusk, Set to return, In the pinkness of the dawn, As light reappears to my world, So bright it hurts my eyes, Causing the blind decision to keep them closed, Now every step becomes a journey into the unknown;
Destined to walk alone, Surrendering to my fate, I accept there are some things, That simply cannot be changed, Unlike the sky adjusts, To the rising and setting of the sun, It is the only thing I can rely on, Waiting, For my moonlight sonata to return...
