Santa came on Christmas Eve,
Leaving presents for us to see.
Sister Mary got a Barbie Doll,
Brother Billy got a basketball.
I searched the room for me to see,
But there were no presents addressed to me.
I have not been as good as I can be,
That's probably why beneath the tree,
There were no presents, gifts or cards,
And there was no bike out in the yard.
I searched and searched as far as I could see,
There were no presents there for me.
I guess it's true for what they say,
If you've been bad, then this is the way.
There is a lesson learned by me,
If you want presents beneath the tree.
If you've been bad, then you must pay,
You'll get no presents on Christmas Day.
I'll be as good as I can be,
Then next year on Christmas Eve,
They'll be a bike or maybe a sweater,
I know next year will be better.
I'll look around beneath the tree,
There will be presents there for me.
