William D Hearns Nov 2015
A full moon wanes,
A dark cloud rains
My sorrow is as full,
As both of these
Significant
William D Hearns Nov 2015
To repose,
In a bed;
Without her,
(Beside me.)
A terrible thing,
Is loathing while lying.

Be quiet
And still,
I hear the steps creak,
A footfall, a breath,
My heart skips a beat.

A vapor,
A phantom,
Tempestuous odor,
Her hair wafts--
Through the air,
An imagined aroma

And I am alone.
