Another year
A new age
As 40 left
50 drew near

I guess
It came as a shock
I should have
Watched the clock

50! 50!
Wrinkles and rucksacks
Camp-outs and bald caps

We’ve all come out to see you
On your special day
Just to wish you
A Happy Birthday!

Sadness comes
Sadness goes
Just remember,
That you can have a friend to hold.

I am here
You are there
But yet I can feel,
Your pain everywhere.

Please cheer up
With you so sad
It hurts to see
It makes me mad.

Come and smile
Let it show
Don’t let your personality go
Come and play in the night
Don’t go staying,
Where there is no light

Just remember
I am here
To help you
When you have fear
To brush your hair
And wipe your tears

I will always be here.

Why so fat?
Soundless cat
You seem so sweet
But yet you scream
With sounds so fine
You know they’re not mine

You sleep all day
You play all night
You don’t notice me
Unless we have a fight

Why do you hate me?
Why do I care?
You’re only a fat cat
With lots of hair

Face paint
Balloons
Trick that they play

Smiling so happy
Just for me
Puffy pants
Big feet
A flower that squirts me

Funny hair
Red nose
Multicolored clothes
It’s too bad
He’s one of my foes

They come in twos
They come in threes
One by one, they ‘re in the trees
With lights so bright,
But yet so cold
Their sound of chirping
I hear it bold

All the colors,
All the sounds
Are little dots above the ground.

Flying high,
Flying low
And, sitting by the window
You and me, see them too
Flying away
Flying away…

Another one goes
Packed away
For the next four years
I won’t see them everyday

Some days I wait
Some days I don’t
But everyday goes by
I know they wont be home

They’re gone away, and wont return
Soon it will have to be my turn
Three more years that’s all I’ll say
Until I go and join them away
I have two brothers and one sister. This year my brother graduated and is now going to university with the others. This year I was a freshmen in high school so I still have a few year before I'm in university.
