When the branch of a weeping tree dies
a new sprout will
shoot from the dead stem
and grow parallel to it
not walking the same path
but the one right next to it.

It is a given that some
Humans are not meant to stand
If they tried they would break
Justice is fair like that
Killing is only a crime for
Luckless losers like us
It is a shame that questions
Lead to answers and
Running requires legs
So don’t bother,
Instead you should crawl
Ugly like, on your stomach
Vainly in the same way children
Cripples and other worms do.

War
War must be our favorite pastime
far better than Love or Baseball.

If life is to peaceful we make our own
wars to fight; for example

the War between housewives and cockroaches or
the War between my love and I.

Each Man is killed by the thing he loves
In the same way that Sampson was.

He must have known that Delilah would betray him
but love kills reason as well as men.

He died the way all who love do,
Bald and Chained.

It reminds me of the way
a worm dries up in the sun.
