You're preying on my heart with lustful eyes.
Reflections of pupils in the shadows, searching for the prize.
You'll strike, with alacrity and apathy holding hands.
You careless beast, for this I surely will not stand.
But even saying that, well it is a lie.
For you I will take the knife, lay on the altar to die.
Carefully stocking the shelves of this heart.
With fragile items and memories to start.
Simply to remind myself this was not always so.
Because of your actions, to the devil I do go.
No luminescence or light at the end of the tunnel for me.
But instead I'll run in circles in this nightmarish reverie.
Hoping to escape your selfish grasp.
Hoping the alcohol will drown this hideous past.

We grew like a tree into a fence
Barbed wire buried under bark and wood
In flesh and bone we find our homes
Together we’ll strip the world of all its good

I’d give until I starved to death
She’d take until the roots were gone
And we’d pull each other down
And we’d sink into it going wrong

When the wind would blow
We’d cut each other deep
Regrets would overflow
We’d **** and fall asleep

Branches hurled down at the fence
As fences do good neighbors make
Each new gust stirred up the dust
Neither knew who’d be the first to break

wind kept blowing, tree kept creaking
I reached for poison and fell in
Cowardly flight into that night
She wept and kept herself to him

It went out in one final flourish
The last summer for blossoming
The rot set in, the axes came
This was the end of everything.

hair by face was precisely framed
in the neatest skin of comely youth
i was talking my kept my mouth was
to slaver words dear as quickly heaving
as to her ears i might impulse the livid inch
of her pristine lips to defeat my useless sound

Stretched skin
stuck through with
hollow, hypoallergenic needles.
Pneumatic ink guns have plunged
****** between my veins,
I'll never be the same
modified and adapted
some find it attractive
others find it pointless,
foul, and disgraceful
but I'll keep on changing
my flesh because it reminds me
of life, you can't get out
unaltered and it's
painful

we **** wisps of meaning down spines like beads of sweat
we send them south
across the border
between the trees
i lay my head
the ground beneath me quivers
the grass becomes damp
and the quake can be heard
like a long gentle sigh
and for a moment
the mind turns black
