Wind of the ocean
Came to tell me a story
An Epic it is
Godfrey Gordon Gustavus Gore —
No doubt you have heard the name before —
Was a boy who never would shut a door!

The wind might whistle, the wind might roar,
And teeth be aching and throats be sore,
But still he never would shut the door.

His father would beg, his mother implore,
'Godfrey Gordon Gustavus Gore,
We really do wish you would shut the door!'

Their hands they wrung, their hair they tore;
But Godfrey Gordon Gustavus Gore
Was deaf as the buoy out at the Nore.

When he walked forth the folks would roar,
'Godfrey Gordon Gustavus Gore,
Why don't you think to shut the door?'

They rigged up a Shutter with sail and oar,
And threatened to pack off Gustavus Gore
On a voyage of penance to Singapore.

But he begged for mercy and said, 'No more!
Pray do not send me to Singapore
On a Shutter, and then I will shut the door!'

'You will?' said his parents; 'then keep on shore!
But mind you do! For the plague is sore
Of a fellow that never will shut the door,
Godfrey Gordon Gustavus Gore!'
It is one of the poems we read as children in English readers, and repeat many times in spare times. "Godfrey Gordon Gustavus Gore" sounded funny to us at that time. Just remembering it :D

The rhyme scheme is the stand out point of it

Mirror by Sylvia Plath
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
Whatever you see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful---
The eye of a little god, four-cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.
This is one of my favorite poems. Sylvia Plath was a powerful poet. I recommend it to those who love to read poetry too ;-)

Igknowledge
Verbal wars
Waged properly
Leads to knowledge

Ideology farce
Left improperly
Leads to igknowledge

Trojan horse
Lead properly
Was Ulysses' pledge
Yea, tried to create a new word like Ogden Nash (:P) igknowledge opposite of knowledge ala noble and ignoble :D

The thing is to write a poem with three lines a stanza, and rhymes must be
first of every line
Second of every line
and third of every line

The Spring Duet
The spring in your steps
And the spring in nature
Playing a match
That let me have a catch
Of a bit of happiness
In all my loneliness

In all my loneliness
This weather makes me
Light as a feather
Dreaming us together

Laugh My Friend
Laugh my friend as nothing changes
In the world,
Everything's fine, and simple,
Cute and beautiful.**

Laugh my friend as nothing bothers
You in the world,
Every moment's 'be cherished,
Nothing will ever be perished.

Laugh my friend like when you were
A child
And everything's at your feet,
And did not know defeat.

Laugh my friend 'cas it's heaven
To be and simple like
A child,
And the world's benevolent.

And Laugh my friend 'cas
Nothing's impossible in
A benevolent universe,
Impossible means I'm possible.

Laugh my friend,
It's just a matter of Seventeen
Muscles it cost an effort,
And nothing more.

Laugh my friend till you die,
And don't ask me why,
'Cas it's your life's at its high
And never let your hope die.

Kidnap: The Lovers' paradise
She said to him with all affection,
"You are my kid."

He said to her smiling,
"So, let me take a nap in your lap,
to finish this kidnap.
So that we will be missed by others,
but we will never miss each-other. "

Time is no crime
Time is created by man
But running behind it like a fan.

Why can't he understand that
It was indeed his slave,
And he made it when he was in the cave.

Be on par with you boy,
and master Time,
It will make your life a joy.
