i count the things that bother me
missing parts and broken ends
i wonder where the hurting stops
and when healing will begin

i keep on trying to understand
but it comes as no easy feat
when emotions conflict with your words
all you can do is grieve

i grieve for the furrows of my brow
the wrinkles in my eyes
constantly dismayed at how
i cant stop with the whys

tomorrow i face a new day
and i don't know where to begin
i'll just close my eyes
take a deep breath
and hope that i will always have the strength.

Sand water and sky was all I could see,
As I dipped into the big blue sea
My toes could feel the comfort of the beady sand,
While the salty water ran through my coarse hands.

The saltwater rushing in,
Wave after wave after wave,
My pruny feet sinking in,
Wave after wave after wave.

Inhaling the damp, fishy scent
Absorbing the mild golden rays of the sun,
Hearing the lulling waves disappearing onto the shore,
The journey of the high tide has now begun.

Red,
  Stinging,
      Peeling,
Flaky,
   Dry.
It’s skin reborn.

Hard,
  Unmovable,
      Hot,
   Painful.
A curse from the sky.

Irritating blotches
And the itchiness within
Make me cranky
As if boiling my own skin.

The noontime breeze blows through my face
Refreshing my memory of things I left behind.
The summer sun scorches my dry skin.
As I endlessly yawn and give in.

I gaze at the clear, blue sky
Humming the soothing tune of boredom.
I let out a long sigh,
To release the worry and rejection.

I can taste the blandness of the afternoon
And all the bitter aftertastes.
The tingling sound of the glistening chimes above my head,
Remind me of the lazy days lying on my bed.

Save all your smiles
Your laughter
And your tears
Keep me beside you
Forever
Do you hear?
Never let me go
Never let me wait
Never leave me alone
Freezing without your warmth
Take me as I am
I’ll take you as you are
Be mine
And I’ll be yours.
