I should never have made light of illegal substances.
I'd never have known such a substance would get to your head,
your blood stream,
cloud your vision,
leave me.

L.S.D 4 M.F.B
You lit tea- lights,
black out.
Arm placed round my waist,
led me into your haven,
eyes wide open.

L.S.D 4 M.F.B
Body curled around me.
Strobe lights in a club,
hands on another,
eyes glazed over.
Shock injected-
my trip ends.

If I could take back a flippant remark,
something I was proud of,
joked about.
I'd run from light to dark.
I'd have kept my mouth shut.
I'd have shut right up.
Shut the **** up.

I took a leap,
Turns out I fell in a heap,
Not like it matters,
It just made me sadder,
I was told to call,
So I took the fall,
There was no way to stall,
Just a broken answering machine,
No voice to greet me,
Except a fake one,
I thought I had a sun,
Finally a nice someone,
Yet again,
I only have a half friend,
And an angry message to send,
Nothing to say,
As I drift softly away,
Slowly I start to sway,
Then I'm gone,
Like the end of a song,
The last cord struck,
Fading into silence,
Nothing new,
Sad and true.
You are hoping the rain will stop, as we wonder ideally across the sand dunes

a cliff to climb, a sea to swim in, a beach to build sand castles

and claim with a flag.

I have stopped hoping for it.

I surrender to the summer rain splashing my shoes,

to the sky that darkens through the lens of my camera

a macro shot of a crab, pinched and poised to

attack.

we think in lumps of time, all of us. Great lumps of time

defined by birthdays and religion.

Winter whispers in our ears, a whiff of cinnamon

in the air.

and though you hope to hold it back, with your fingers in the dam

I tell you, again, that we are not ruled by

the sea

They stood there holding hands
Looking at the sunset,
Then turned face to face and gazed
Into each others eyes,
Unaware
Of their imminent lose of
Paradise...

They kissed and they prayed
Through the gardens they strayed
Smelling flowers and watching birds
Fly...
They wandered through trees
Lay upon dewy leaves
And looked attentively at the clouds
Pass in the sky...

THEN...
There came a black day
Which
Stole youth away
Leaving everything to wither and
Decay...
Now
The lovers lament
At the darkness sent
And will weep till the end of their
Days.

You ease my fears
Calm my worries
With your soft voice
Gentle touch
Tender kisses
You soothe my soul
