Summer Poem
Erik Lindblad Mar 2014
Maybe I found her
maybe she's lost
we both swim together
through waves of the heart.
We're here again
remember yesterday?
Won't be as good as today.
Wake me with your smile
show the world
questions swirl
mind starts spinning
flying through satellites
bring me back
just be near me.
She's walked down the river
through rocks and stones
took the light with her
as well as my soul.
Don't turn back
it will **** us both.

Fighting For Love
Erik Lindblad Mar 2014
If I really do love her
I will shake hands with her mistakes
and every time she's next to me
I'll pretend we just met.
If I really do love her
I will catch her when she falls
and not let the darkness
drown her in my poisoned sea.
I have seen where this ocean can lead us,
she slips off the edge of the cliff
while I watch as I dig my own grave.
If I really do love her
I will trust that at the end of every day
she would rather dream of me than fall asleep.
If I really do love her
I'll know in my heart that she smiles at the
idea of me.
If I really do love her,
which I do.
