I heard your voice with the setting sun
I answered back but
There was
No one
Waiting for me too

I saw the world
When I was
Next to you
Eyes filled
With
red glass
like the smoke
You too, will soon pass

I felt your face
In the rising moon
Over the mountains
It came
Too soon
Cigarette and a glass of wine
Collectively
Swallow,
inhale,
The time
Because you too
Will soon pass

Nights intoxicated
with Stars and
Bottles
The faces are content
But their minds
Are startled
Shown the path
But never the Way

That doesn't matter
Now
We’ll breathe the same air
And I’ll never forget
The smell,
The touch,
Your hair,
We shared the earth
For as long as
We could
For whatever its worth
Under this sky
Together
We've stood
And you too,
Will soon pass.

The way her chest falls and rises again
to come back and meet with her clothes,
I find it comforting - not sure why,
but I do.

Maybe, It's because when I see her breathing in,
Slowly, relaxed, on time,
She can do it, so then I know,
So can I.

The waves come in and hug the sand,
Just like her chest does in breathing.
I come in to hold her hand,
but she's forever leaving.

I'm waiting for you
since this early morning
where the night still is
and what is is still not here.
The lovely loner
cocooned in the sheets
and masked shame with
lies to share.
Your awful vagueness
and broken words
cuts in the air beside my head.
My chest screams for assurance
why won't you give it to me?
You claim it's all alright
but your eyes shift in ways
that make my heart panic.
Why are you doing this to me?

The mocking bird
and the robin
live in the snow.
Each bird
its
own tree
framed within
my window.
Together they fly
upon the vast
white world.
A rose petal
among ashes
leads the volunteer's
bird.

Because yesterday we were leaves on the concrete

Fragrance lost, reduced to colorful crunches underfoot

But today I find myself in the stems

Veiny arms are reaching skywards,

Tomorrow a branch may be my destination-

Clear the airways.

The stars are nothing but streetlamps

And there’s nowhere to go but up

The end is nearing but please don't cry
please don't worry we all have to die.
My time has come, the story must end
you were my lover, my best friend.
