To walk beyond the farthest city light,
my heart exerts against my chest tonight
to leave the friend I made yesterday,
and kiss the foe goodbye
and erase from the paper that's Heart
every name and every dye
and leave at the city's end
all my sorrows and all my friends
to walk beyond the farthest city light
where no tear shall catch my sight
where no heart shall be offered to me
and no god shall my heart's deity be
and no man know my name
where I'll go or whence I came
To walk beyond the farthest city light
and fall in love with a foreign land
of flowing rivers, of colours bright
where mighty mountains stand
I'll live under a roof of straw
and my happiness from Nature draw
And then in melancholy solitude
forget every city light
To walk beyond the farthest city light
my heart exerts against my chest tonight.

All the photographs dearest to me;
I shall burn all of them
If somehow within my heart
Your fleeting memory I could hold
If somehow I get to behold
Scalding epistles; pixels from the past
Narrating what is better if not told
Of how the sun set too fast
And how the dreadful night unfolds
Of the ruined castle of love
Which once in its shy might did
Our throne of love uphold.

How lovely is that ray of sun
which cuts the gloomy spell of rain!
And yet it fails to warm the heart
like the mention of your name.

The heart can not think, so mine did not
So I swerved in my orbit around thee,
Which angered Nature's precise decree,
Which flung me far out of my slot

And gaining speed, I now lose height
Is this the force of a broken heart?
My journey burns me; my final flight
To you, my end, as I now dart.

In leisure and in busy times
Never did you cross my heart
But now that land has come to split
A scarlet me is on your part

Keep that me within your heart;
A secret shared, a little laugh
That's scattered on the Wind of Time
That's blew the two of us apart

I wish you luck and happiness
And a lovely sky to fly
I'll water my end of the bond we have
And please, don't let your end run dry.
For a friend who's going a thousand miles away.

She was the sun that graced a dawn
a dawn, the dawn, it caged my heart
and so the heart forgot the eve
and foolishly forgot the dark

every high, but, has a low
and fall follows every rise
and so when the dark returned
what, O heart, was the surprise?

The piano and the guitar
The shy, shimmering star
The drums and the flute
And light in Moon's loot.

And words laden with sorrow
Over music filled with joy
Don't promise a happy tomorrow
But nightly sorrows they borrow.
