What once was caused by the heart
The smile but now is pulled by brain
Flames of passion that danced in eyes
Now a lovely heart they maim

Although we are flesh apart
I feel your pain all the same
And though we are souls apart
Your soul's on fire, I feel the flame

But fear not, friend, the flame will die
I've seen the water earn its fame
And if the water turns to ice
We'll perish together and roam the skies.

Do not speak, your heart is weak
It'll breathe within the eyes you seek
Or swim the ocean, or feel the fire
That drowns and burns, which you desire.

Do not inhale, you won't expire
Or come ashore, or escape the fire
And did not pretty sunrays burn?
So do not speak, and quietly run.
Get closer and get killed.

And, oh, you were in my sky a brilliant shooting star.
A wishful soldier I became, a soldier crushed by war.
With blinding light my sky you strewed, radiant from afar.
Within a beat the dark restored, and left my heart a scar.

Why, when every breath you breathe
Is spent on locking up the heart,
Do you then wonder how time flies,
And how the world is set apart?

But however strange the world,
However swift the time,
A locked up heart is better than
A heart by pain defined.

Each day, a passerby comes
wandering into my mind,
with no intention to leave
this sorry inn behind.

Its way the passerby forgets
amidst regretful rains
with feet adorned with thorns,
and memories and pain.

You, my lovely passerby,
please exit my brain.
The heart's already marred,
Now thoughts worship your name.

Will you be, when the sun sets down,
In my night sky the moon?
And when the stars upon me frown,
Will your glow be a boon?
Or when the tide of life is low,
Will your pull show me height?
And if the night seems too slow,
Will you not beguile my sight?
