Perfect Illusion
ERA Jan 2017
One night
around midnight,
I found myself
delusional
of this profound
illusion.

Looking through
the mirror.
I saw myself,
doing stuff she likes
providing things she wants
making her happy.
Twas’ beautiful
but…
it would have been magical
if
it was me.

Pretentious as I am,
I  found myself
delusional
of this
Perfect Illusion.

I'm Nobody!
ERA Nov 2016
I'm Nobody!
Eager to think about,
find oneself. I doubt,
through poems I found,
In words I'm bound,
but...

I'm Nobody!
In depths I'm drowned,
oblivion surrounds!
"Life is but,"
No! It's not a dream,
you need to fit yourself in.

I'm Nobody!
Finds oneself dreary,
always weary,
but
to tell my name, I'm fond
to please the people I have
and
make them feel I'm dumb.

I'm Nobody! Who are you?
let me through
to take the path I chose!
to have the gold that once I knew.

I'm Nobody!
Yes! I'm Nobody!
swims
and
cannot reach the skies.

A Piece of me
ERA Nov 2016
My life's a piece of poetry;
the ones who read are the
ones who see
I am no ode nor a satire,
might be an elegy or a pun,
But how shallow my thought is,
it's no fun...

My life's a piece of prose;
the ones who write are the ones who are free
In the depths of my own existence,
in the darkness I wander,
in the light I yonder;
I am restless...

My life's a piece of literature;
the ones who know are the ones who judge
The thought of fear
my mind's never been clear,
To fathom my suffering
you need to read me so dear....

My life is a piece of me;
I will let you in, but I won't let you know.

**I'm nobody**
ERA Aug 2016
I'm nobody,
commits mistakes and
pleases nobody!

I'm nobody,
talks but
no one listens.

I'm nobody,
writes but
no one's reading!

I'm nobody,
speaks but
cannot utter words.

I'm nobody,
awake but
keeps on chasing dreams!

I'm nobody,
runs but
no one bats an eye.

I'm nobody,
yes! I am nobody,
swims
and
cannot reach the skies.

New faces, New people
New circle of friends
I was bewildered by this lady
Absolutely friendly

Started to talk, share and
Walk together.
Flowers, Roses, Chocolates and
even a dozen of doughnuts.
Not seeing this girl makes me nuts.

They say women are fragile
so is men's heart.
I may talk like I am addicted to love
but I am not.
Swallowed by my own desire.
Walls been torn apart,
then there I fall.

It started with a simple chat
but it ended up like I was caught in a trap.

I am who I am and I need to man up!
I started to takes things seriously
but...
This girl I met ain't too friendly.

She is just a mask
it took me months to see
like I was inside a flask
and are not meant to be.

She is just a mask
with words all over her face

Poem
ERA Oct 2015
I see
Life is an open book
Pages shattered
As the sun smiles
Grinning upon me

As early as the morning dew
Like the first thing the rooster flew.

It is simple as ABCD
No! Just write freely
When the light becomes heavy
And my visions are blurry

I write with my own
With a heart of stone
Like eating a chewy bone
Gulp! Everything is gone.

See!
This is my poem
I write and read alone
Inside my prison room
In my mansion called home.

Alchemy
ERA Aug 2015
Am I seeing things differently?
I see the slice of life past by me
Like copper turned to gold instantly
The magic of mixtures in alchemy

Am I bestowed with visions?
With no one see’s. Intuition?
Creepy… but I sense death, predictions?
It failed to amuse me. Abstraction!

My vision flies in depths
Cling onto oceans like death
Drowned, chasing breaths
Waking up soak in sweat upon my bed.

People screams and I listen
No comprehension, they are forgotten
Cannot count the numbers with my bare hands
How much more in desert sands

Difference in both of us
But I can tell who they might be
This might be a trick, thus
This is the magic in alchemy.

Argonaut (Hero)
ERA Jun 2015
He speaks with
countless words,
we listen.
When we sleep,
there he is watching
with our cries, our sorrows
there he is to protect.

I am one of his knights
He is our king.
The pillar of our domain
with no gold crown and rings.
Dressed with a simple cloth
he does not mind
as long as his knights are fed,
well cared and well dressed.

Swords so blunt,
but his presence is sharp
even with his shadow we
feel safe.
A king in our era
fighting a war not his
but ours.

He is the vibrant color
red of the rainbow after
every rain.
The strong pillar of Rome,
with all the wisdom and courage
of a thousand years.

We are bound to him,
our respect is limitless
the greatest Argonaut
of our lineage.
Our first Hero,
Our father.

I hope will remain.
I was bewildered

oozing with talents.
There remain

Hardships may come your way
But don’t flop,
No! Don’t slack
Keep going.
Straightforward

Struggle, stumble
stand up, rise.

Life is an open book
capture moments
mark it, make it
do it, finish it.

These memories
the smiles, the faces
forever I will keep.
I hate goodbyes
So I won’t say one,
See you the soonest.

I found
Let’s see, a maiden
She is like a deity
A face I see
Untidy
Beautiful and lively.

Yes! With courage
I tried
to confess my love
to the maiden I found.

I will wait…

The curtain rises
together
with the maiden I found
changes.
A maiden with many faces.

The maiden wants this
and that
I am no billionaire
to buy all of that.

Yes! I do confess
my love to the maiden I found
but
there are others I doubt.

I bear with it
together with my friends
but I stopped
I know the maiden
is unworthy of my love.

I am no prince
with gold and rings
I am no genie
to satisfy her needs.

I found
Let’s see, a maiden
tempted with lust
and greed.

I was bewildered
Is this a maiden?
I was deceived
by this beauty,
by this trust
and by this love.

Love is unfair.
It keeps on coming
and coming
and it will never stop.

Yes! A dummy.
A deceitful dummy
filled with evil
and lies.

Suddenly! A chance arrives
we became friends.
The balloon in my heart explodes
I feel so light
but
I am not alright
hold tight.
Fly away!
To wherever you are
to this pure pure heart of mine
but this feelings won't change
even if you disappear.
Oh well, I don't mind.
You know, a poem
with honest and romantic words inside
is the best way
to say my feelings for you.
Words sweeter than sugar
Melodies hotter than fire.
I can't stop my heart beat.
Oh! A problem arrives
maybe you know who you are.
I am happy
but embarrassed
I am about to run.
Run away! To the mountain side
this rushing pure pure heart of mine.
Go on and on
into the nimbus clouds
through the clear skies
I will chase after you
even the red lights are up
I don't mind.

A December to remember.
The things that he did,
to the one
he truly loves.

‘Twas in the past,
the feelings the same.
Yes he did fancy things a lot
but the feelings for her
stayed the same.

He tried
but…
Yes, he tried
but could not find
A right time.

Perseverance was in his eyes,
but courage he could not find.

As seconds, minutes,
hours, months passed by
the feelings for her
never went astray.

Life is an open book
you can love it for its cover,
you can hate it for its content
and if her life is a book
he will love it from its cover
to its content
from its introduction
to its ending.

A December to remember,
Forever he will keep.

My fair lady you are his rose,

he shall perish if thy rose is not taken care,
he loves she even if my fair lady is not fair.

He is afraid to see my fair lady being hurt,
it hurts he seeing my fair lady sad, crying.
Pity, my fair lady,

To Her
ERA Feb 2015
There are things that I wanted to say,
But diffidence is always in my way.
She is just one step away,
But
With her smile makes the sunshine in my gloomy day.

I can feel the coldness of a sea breeze
Its chilling touch makes me freeze
And as I hear her breathe
She knocks me out of my feet.

I can hear the beating of my heart,
It was her who made it start.
I never met this kind of art,
It will forever makes its mark.

Romanticist they say I was
But ‘twas ideas that I have.
I never speak of words about love

Her beauty is sparkling,
So lively.
Her smile is stunning,
It’s lovely
Her eyes are shining,
Blistering.
She is a deity.
Perfect yet fragile.

It is hard to say the things
You want the most
But, even if I cannot tell
How hard I fell
By these I am right
The two of us are not alike
But I want her to read and see
The true meaning of this poetry.
