I am at at the bottom of the ocean
Baffled how I am still breathing
Wondering how I transcended
Viewing the world with 20 thousand leagues
Of liquid obstruction to distort my view
I am at the bottom of the ocean
The world does not pause
No one will toss me a line
It is my choice
Surrender to this aquatic haze
And possibly drown
Or belligerently swim to normalcy
The saltwater clouds my mind
I am at the bottom of the ocean
I read this to a realist. She said, "Yea, you're tired." Oh' to view the world as a realist.
My children are in your hands!

Drill today, **** tomorrow?
My children are in your hand!

Elect your foil, who is owned by oil?
My children are in your hands!

Pollute the oceans, contaminate the soil?
My children our in your hands!

Can't you hear, don't give the Indian a tear.
My children are in your hands!

Clean the lands, sweep our sands!
My children are in your hands!

Plant a tree or cut your mother's knees?
My children are in your hands!

Spread the hate, not tolerate?
My children are in your hands!

Destroy for power, your only here an hour?
My children are in your hands!

Hit your women and keep on sinin'?
My children are in your hands!

Anything for a dime, only here a short time!
My children are in your hands!

My children are in your hands!
My children are in your hands.
My children are in yo.........
In the stillness of a grey day
And the rattle and hum of a clothes dryer
Subtle but distinct tweets and calls harken
From an open window wafting fresh air
They summon me out of the mystical fog
Of a mundane useless existence
The insipid chants beckon me to fly
Through the haze and humidity
From humility  To a place life exudes
Nature with its songs for dance and love

When existence is humdrum
And life is passing by
Open a door and fly
When you were five years old
And your favorite color was pink,
You wanted to be a princess,
Played with barbies in the sand,
The world was your playground,
And you didn't know how to be sad.

When you were seven years old
And your favorite color was all of them,
You wanted to be famous,
Cried when your Grandmother died,
The world was small,
And you were learning what sad was.

When you were nine years old
And your favorite color was purple,
You wanted to be a rock star,
Read ghost stories with your best friend,
The world was full of possibility,
And you never cried.

When you were ten years old
And your favorite color was black,
You wanted to be alone,
Screamed when your best friend was murdered,
The world was a scary place,
And you never stopped crying.

When you were fifteen years old
And your favorite color was blue,
You wanted to disappear,
Made scars appear on your arm,
The world was no longer happy,
And you faked not being sad.

When you were seventeen years old
And your favorite color was who gives a ****,
You wanted to no longer be alive,
Stared at walls for hours at a time,
The world was your purgatory,
And you didn't know how to be happy.

When you were nineteen years old
And you no longer had a favorite,
You took a gun to your head,
Pulled the trigger,
Your world was no more,
And you felt no pain.

stripes and spots can change..
growling inside

teasing a cat in a cage
even a small big cat
can prove a pretty hazardous thing

wait till it's free....

peace
please

private property..
intruder hurtled over
seeking who knows what
screaming obscenities

perfect pitch..
find little solace
but by going within
hide well beneath veneers

possible perfection..
but with one
so* very far away
loss near calamitous

pardon presumption..
get over discomfort
pick up sad face
work with it

passable poetry..
may reveal a layer or two
if the inner eye ready
shove preconceived away

puerile pretence..
try to prove points
only to efface the truth
lose bits of the light

petty prisons..
all just deadly excuses against living
get locked in by the self
unlock the cell, throw key away

please..
peace

fool-proof umbrella
covering protégé
adorning brilliance

no purple moments
folly forgotten
iniquity barred
fountain-pen spills
in lampblack Indian ink
when letting go
rose bush on fire
in the mountain
claims
rock-hard granite
heat melting
higher meeting..so fleeting

concluding well
deep
sans senses
catch scent
wrapped in sound
sudden arrival
rivers flow yet endless

such relief exquisite
still
not quite
fruition
not yet..

four leaves wait
count a quarter
at a time
yet fretless time
caught in veins
of
chlorophyll dreams

time to fill
maturation
to come..

to plant seeds
into blazing buds
just
not yet..

not everybody likes quotes,
but I kinda need the inspiration

I.
'A real friend is one who walks in
when the rest of the world walks out.'
- Walter Winchell (1897-1972), US journalist and author

II.
'In prosperity our friends know us;
in adversity we know our friends.'
- John Churton Collins (1848-1908), English literary critic

III.
'A friend is one who sees through you
and still enjoys the view.'
- Wilma Askinas (1926- ), US author and columnist

IV.
'You are a true friend
We cry through the bad times,
We laugh through the good ...
with happiness and smiles,
with pain and tears,
I know you will be with me
throughout the years.'
- Anon

V.
'Thank you for being a genuine friend ... one who is not afraid to say things, out of love, things that are hard to say and hard to hear but cares enough to speak up.'
- Anon

thank you for all the wise advice you have given me
I wouldn't be where I am today if not for your guidance*

How I do loveeeeeee Voltaire!

:)

Some of my ultra-faves:

1. I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. --Voltaire

2. God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh. --Voltaire

3. The best way to become boring is to say everything. --Voltaire

4. Judge a man by his questions rather than his answers. --Voltaire

5. I should like to lie at your feet and die in your arms. --Voltaire

sub-entry: 'tolerance'

1.
and so, step outside
a little
just to breathe
to find which way visible
to see which direction next

twirling destiny
on the end
of
fingertips

2.
speak clear
own your opinions
take stock
yet
show tolerance
extend kindness
to one
who may just
feed you
on your sick bed

3.
yes, the desert camel
may support itself well
until a really dry spell

thus, please shut not that door so
cos, unbeknown
I see you still
my sweet friend
through the window
of your care
