we smile like sunflowers,
spitting our seeds through our teeth.
they taught high winds to swim across
glaciers onto my skin, backstroke,
trying to shiver down my spine.
Indian summers save my hydrophobic
structure from the flooding.
i like to drive recklessly under the
speed limit, leaving a sense of
significance tanned inside my lip.
today feels like Indian summer
and your sunflower leaves keep
me warm until the next northern
attack provokes, down my backbone,
where the shells are where we left
them
sink.

He put a ring
On her finger
Just for a day
Before his hooded
Friend came
And took her away
A family heirloom
To say I'd keep it
This way
He put a ring
On her finger
Just for a day

Bruised Orange
dreamy romantic hearts
with notions enough to
stitch a quilt of love
to blanket the world

like oceans
stars fold outward
ever ceaseless muttering
outward stars fall(like oceans)
upward into me, they set their
teeth, on farther nearly shores
fluttering faster
stars sputter
quickly                                                                     (I
                                                                                  wade

                                                                               fully shining
                                                                              flecks of gorgeous
                                                                             spittle they catch on

far away taxie
i would ride if
i could
far away city
i would
i could
to a bedroom in a cold apartment
i have never seen before
to a new place to drink coffee
and
what do i find
far away diner
i would ask for her number
i could ask when she's off
the first smile ive gotten
in two thousand miles
far away city
I would walk down the street with you
I could go evreywhere with you
but right down the road is fine
but right to your room is fine
far away bedroom
i would kiss you in your bedroom
i could kiss you in your bedroom
but you let me sleep
far away eyes
i would love to know who you belong to
"you can learn tommorow if you want to"
i hear the eyes tell me
i can learn tommorow if i want to
black hair green eyes and long awaited sleep

by what light!this pains' dismay is taught and frigid
it is the earth upholding my footfalls genial and slow
i tread and mark the soil as turning sunder:the stain
last frail and withered node of light 7fold and thrice
the hills are marching under that calamity of orange
duskish and fowling their curvaceous hide. i'm loose and tight
in folds of grass. and i walk

                                    and i walk
