Night kicks up streetlights that scream in my ear
Over all of the laughter and bottles of beer
It's a quaint little place with red lights on the wall
It's a motionless apartment that's cozy but small
And it keeps you safe from who you know you could be
And it keeps you awake but it lets me sleep
Because your dogs never bark and the wind is kept outside
Where we'll end up walking and dancing beneath her; the Moon.

Grey note clouds shade the starlight beam kisses from falling down
Another memory tucked back inside rolls out of your mouth and onto the ground
Where our feet twist and kick and make love to the gum-spotted sidewalk
The same spot you stood three years ago when you felt clean and happy.

New faces in a new bar
Laughter erupts in sync
With the pouring taps
Not my laughter
I came here alone for a chance
A chance to meet you
But you're never where I think you'll be
I'll keep trying though
Chasing a dream
The perfect conversation
The perfect face and taste
It's happened times too few
I always blow it
I always forget your face
It's so embarrassing
I'll meet you for real someday
And I won't forget you
And I won't hide from you the evening after
Not even the one after that
Maybe next time I'm out looking for you,
you might be looking.
You'll find me too.

Don't be square,
Walk a bit to make you uncomfortable
Razor-sharp trees shade this ocean, lapping against the cloudy sand
Paint your pained expression on me with a whisper

My tired eyes begin wandering along beach-sleepers in their Blanket Body Bags

Different set of problems

Her to-go box looks expensive
He hopes she'll "put-out".

Do you care that if I saw you today I wouldn't recognize your face?
Look at my charm, look at my taste, and lead me straight to your waist.
Is there anybody in this soft-world I haven't had the urge to ****?
Lick my flesh, I'll bite you back. Creature of the night.

I am an Absinthe Vampire and I want a taste.
You could never know, and you could never tease me.
I am an Absinthe Pup.
Come in and please me.
