As a child I laughed
Arms out, bounding in the surf
Seals calling my name
My world was bright, fresh and free

A spider in the bathtub

Cozy, her child nursed

I heard a bird sing
On a cold, gray winters day

I rode in the rain
Through puddles on empty streets

Two shining ribbons
Spanning dark and sullen skies
A double rainbow
Vivid colours, stormy day
Acrobat crows tumble past

Pink confetti clouds
That dance brightly within it
I tug my cap down and smile

Old, bent cherry tree
Blossoming above dark pond
Petals float brightly

In the deep mountains
Coral rhododendrons bloom
In the night, unseen

Truly and deeply
Beyond sad, I press bruised lips
Upon the marble
Curve of your neck and breast
Touching only memory

Sweet sussurations
Drift through bright cherry blossoms
I hear her and wake

Up the down I strode
Rising far above the fields
Till evening came
Then, beneath a starstruck sky
Down the down I swayed and rolled

Those dry little words
So neat upon their pages
Filled with blood and tears
Staunching my lettered bleeding
I wrap my lines and tighten

Missing you, I am
Flotsam in the pounding surf

All that noise banging

Each little domicile

Some plugged in and others not

Monochrome landscape
Too subtle to perceive well
Looming dark-ling shapes
Seeping nocturnal spectra
But above, stars incandesce

Fog in gray blankets
Draws thick curtains across streets
Covers the Buildings
Hides shapes and steals colour
Sirens and red lights burst through

With each sweet moment
That you share my company
Lips softly smiling
Caressing me with your eyes
You fill me with a tempest

Curl up against me
Lay your head upon my chest
And listen to me
As my syncopating heart
Beats a song of love for you

Dead, twisted pine bough
Gray against the dark green sea
Two crows huddle there
From the cold wind, beak to beak
A red cheeked child stares, watching

Black etched, heavy clouds
Fell thickly off the mountains
A roiling cauldron
Dropping, down, down and over
The motel's glowing neon

Our Lady the Sun
A beauty  in shining robes
Casts morning's first light
Far across the pale slate sky
A little rooster crows back

Red, orange, yellow
Green, blue, indigo, violet
Fair reflecting arch
Against a dark and brooding sky
Bouncing back the sun's bright light

In beauty may I walk.
All day long may I walk.
Through the returning seasons may I walk.

Beautifully will I possess again.
Beautifully birds . . .

On the trail marked with pollen may I walk.
With grasshoppers about my feet may I walk.
With dew about my feet may I walk.

Along the winding brook side
There limped a dying knight
Helm cracked and eyes fixed wide
