Me?
Pain
You don't understand
Depression
You can't withstand
Strength
Above all else
Unloved
Within myself
Hurt
Flows deep inside
Blood
I try to hide
You
See the things I do
I
Am a world away from you
I know
You can not see this
As I
Fight against your kiss
Hello
Things no one else can see
Goodbye
Whoever I was meant to be

X
Loved you once
Love you still
Always have
Always will
Through the better
Through the worse
Through the smiles
And the hurt
Starting now
Until forever
We will always
Be together
I swear all this
Upon my life
Or drive through me
The devil's knife
As I sit upon
My liars chair
I'll always wish
To be there
Cuz watching the fire
Twist and twirl
Will make me miss you
Baby girl

She
She walks on a lonely road
With no one to see her cry
She has been alone all her life
So no one has wondered why
One day a man approached
Asked her why she was alone
She replied with a single tear
Full of the pain she had known
He looked at her, took her hand
And walked with her that day
But when a beach approached with blood-red sand
He threw her down and ran away
This beach became her home
She never left at all
After the day she made a mistake
The day she hoped she wouldn't fall
The mistakes she's made are unforgiven
By herself and all she's seen
She can never let herself go again
For the world she knows is cruel and mean
You know you can not save her
And you can feel the guilt
But no one can get themselves inside
The shelter she has built
She hides herself inside her smile
And all you do is smile back
So she walks all alone
On the empty track
You see her walking with her knife
Glinting in the light
But are you going to stand up
And say this isn't right?

Daddy wants his drugs
Momma wants her kid
One blames the other
For what the other did
Now Momma’s got her drugs
And Daddy’s got his kid
Now one hates the other
Cuz the other flipped her lid
Now Daddy’s in the PTA
And Momma’s in a cell
And neither one is really
Coping very well
Daddy’s at a party
Momma’s at the bar
No one really thought
They’d make it very far
Now Momma’s in the hospital
And Daddy’s lyin’ dead
And Momma’s tryin' to forget
What that policeman said
But it really doesn't matter
Cuz baby was neglected
And they never took time to notice
What his actions had reflected
Now Daddy isn't there
And Momma’s got her drugs
All because baby
Got shot down by some thugs
Cuz all through out his life
And through this momma daddy deal
No one thought to ask
Well how does baby feel?

I laugh because I will
I laugh because I can
I laugh because you won’t
Stand up and be the man

I laugh because she does
I laugh because she’s small
I laugh because you’ll let
Her destroy us all.

But really is it funny?
But really will it suffice?
All this silly laughter
and pretending to be nice?
