I'm there for you when you have downs or even ups
I guess I ought to remember how you hate tales
I tried to reach out to you, I felt alone
you offered no response, until now
and it revealed that in the depths of your misery
some ecstatic news, a tone which I'm so glad for

I just wish I could be met halfway, too
smiles will continue for you, all the way
I wouldn't want you to feel this anguish

a century old letter has fallen to me
from an attic in a forgotten chest
and I uncover the strangest secret things
under this sky, was once a love so great
yet devastating and wild
just like ours

I wonder what happened to them
I dare to think it all worked out
that they rode over the expected
and caught the real deal

there are two sets of letters, those from her and his reponse

we will make it through the tumbles
I don't believe in make your bed and lie down

make your bed, then jump on it
with me!

what an amazing find you are to sore eyes in the middle of deliberate storms
what's even more astounding is the way you hold the reins of words and pour into me
then shock comes when I see you made a find

you found yet another slice of me
you scare me so with this alarming skill you have
spiking paranoia like big balloons in sky, waiting to pop

there must be sides of you I do not know
and keepsakes that you keep from me
but I do know that I will not FIND another *you

dreaming on this bed of you coming through the door leaping on me
but I'm alone in a basement with one window and a view of bare tree

there will be one flight of birds to cross the marsh over to the lake
where I used to go guppyin' as a kid to catch gifts nobody wanted

one bird is always behind
one flight too long
time too short

I love you
until alone becomes we.

tremendous power in your gorgeous eyes and (h)(e)(a)(t) on your tongue
that word would catch fire in your mouth
it's better to approach right after a shower
for fear of igniting in your entrancing stare

you are (f)(i)(r)(e) kindling my woken want
and I'm getting dryer now

(the deep forest catches that untainted downpour)

maybe I too
like playing
with fire
(yours)

balmy winds on open lands
giving space to breathe

if fear were made of wax and courage wind
how then, would it be melted?

maybe the formula's all wrong
cos there's no balancing yet
