What does virtual have over real
a virtual world can't give you realism
you can't run against the wind on a hot summers day
or go to the beach and play
you can't dig a giant hole and then get left upset because it's time to leave
you can't feel the snow hit your face, or the feeling of excitement when school is closed

you will never learn from the past if every time you fail you can reload
you'll never get that feeling when you first fall in love
you can't feel pleasure from eating a box of chocolates
or feel guilty for breaking your promise
In a virtual world you'll never get to feel surprise
or upset when someone breaks your heart
you'll never truly understand what it means to be a live

In a world where real is real and virtual is virtual
I would choose the real world with all its good and all its bad

Upon an house I once fell
old and worn but standing tall
I walked to the open door
shouting out if anyone was there
but no response, not that I could hear.

Dark hallway stood in front
with a flicker of light from the room to my right
a library I had entered
shelves of books, table and chair
with a photo of me standing their

The door I had come in through
shut behind me with a thunderous bang
making me jump but I was already scared

The candle light began to dim
picked up the photo I chose to do
who had been watching me, who took this
who's house were I standing in.

A voice I swear I did hear
"turn it over" a whispered voice called out
no one in the room with me
no electronic equipment I could see

I turned the photo, a message I did see
"You shouldn't have entered, your trapped like me"
I ran towards the door, too creepy an house, to weird an owner
but the door was gone, vanished it be
the candle flickered and finally went and in the darkness came the voice
"You shouldn't have entered, your trapped like me"
I tried something different here but I don't think it worked out right, what do you think.

This was inspired by The Raven written by the great Edgar Allan Poe

As the rain falls and the rivers run filling the oceans for life to be born
traveling for miles and hundreds of years
or existing as our tears
the water we drink, the showers we take, the pleasure we take from swimming

Hydrogen and Oxygen mixed together
but the water we have won't last forever
the rains still fall
the oceans get bigger
but one day in the future
the sun will glow and glow, the ozone will go
Water will dry, deserts will expand
but life will kick on
The most important thing in our lives
will be gone
This is actually a rewrite to a poem I wrote last year called water which if you'd like you can check out here

How many generations have said the same things
"I want the best for my child"
"I'm not my parents"
"I want a better future for my kids"
"In my generation we did this"
"Don't blame me it was how I was brought up"

Well I ask
do you feel like you got the best?
is it so bad if you are your parents?
if so, how did you turn into them?
do you feel like you've got a good future?
do you wish you could learn you own mistakes or do you value the generational advice?
Do you think that a person should know right from wrong despite how they were brought up?

STOP, the world shouted
please STOP
but no body listened
the buttons were pressed
it became to late

THE END

I woke up once in a very strange world
I thought it was the past, or maybe a parallel universe
but I was wrong.
All around me I saw some stupid things
People been killed for their religious beliefs
gay marriage illegal, people been killed for been gay
freedom of speech limited
people not knowing what equal rights are
the rich getting everything while the poor get nothing
crime everywhere, criminals walking free
torture, suppression, bullying, hatred, killing, PERSECUTION
accused witches burned alive
governments killing civilians
War after war after war

I was wrong, this isn't the past or a parallel universe
this is our Earth, our time
This is happening right now!

Once there was nothing, no time, nothing
but something strange happened
there was a birth, it's very old now
we call it the Universe

The Universe had many children
all of different shapes, sizes, colors but all very beautiful
we call them Galaxies

Those Galaxies aged and had children of their own
called solar systems and they had children called planets
and those planets had children called life

Billions of years passed
that life had children called machines
but everything that as a beginning as an end
and the machines malfunctioned
the life died out
planets were destroyed
solar systems perished
galaxies fell apart
and the Universe continued to age, watching as its children died
not able to save them, not able to do anything.

As time drifted by the Universe got sick
been eaten away by a virus called Black holes
destroying everything the Universe had left
and eventually dieing
Based on the multiverse theory which I believe in, there is the probability that one universe somewhere will never die and all life will live on. Maybe just maybe it will be this universe
