At night I hear the cry's of so many
the tears they release, the pain they feel.
Seeing my Brothers and Sisters like this breaks my heart
each day thousands of them die. No food or water.
How?

None of us asked for this life
none of us wished to be born
How can life be worth living
when so many of us struggle to live.
The basics we need, food and water
can not be found except in the hands of the rich.

Millions of the poor die each day
while the rich sit on piles of money.
For what purpose, for what gain
For war and greed
Who are you fighting, who are you stealing from.
Why not give us free water and free food
WE HAVE A RIGHT TO LIFE BUT NOT THE RIGHT TO KEEP THAT LIFE
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it, if you have any questions please ask them and I will try to answer them a.s.a.p.

Do you not believe that Love is more important
If I say I love you and you love me is that worth anything
Do I not deserve to live my life free
Free from persecution
Free from discrimination
Free from hate of any kind

Who I love is not hurting anyone
So do I not deserve to live my life free
You hate me and sack me
with out even knowing me
You see who I love and judge me

Gay or Lesbian I still love the same as any straight person
kisses and cuddles
holding hands
Love is love no matter where it is projected
If God hates me for who I am
then he hates you to
'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than this
so to hate me is to hate yourself
and in this world we are all neighbors

So do I not deserve to live my life free
Free from persecution
Free from discrimination
Free from hate of any kind
Written from the point of view of a Gay/Lesbian person
I myself are not gay but that does not mean that I can not fight for gay rights

Gays and Lesbian have just as much rights as anyone and everyone and it is about time the world stop discriminating against them

This was written in response to a report that the boy scouts revoked agreement with Seattle church over gay troop leader

Like a drummer playing base
my heart beats
Most of my life it has been playing a slow tempo
but recently it's upped the pace like a song at a club
If you listen quietly you can hear it echo

Like a singer singing
my heart sings
not Pop or Rock but Opera
in the beginning it sang a slow tempo
but recently it's upped the pace like a song at a club
If you listen quietly you can hear it echo

Like a drummer playing base
my heart beats
Like a singer singing
my heart sings

I have eaten the fruit from the tree of life
and taken knowledge that was not mine
the clouds are fighting the sun light
though the moon still shines so bright

One enemy of so many who knows us so well
takes our love away and sends us to hell
I do not hear screams or see the fires
I have become deaf and blind
just for the serpent getting in my mind

No matter what love God has for me
I stand here to prove we are all equals
made so perfect but able to do wrong
but given love to escape from hell
a second chance for all those that fell

I have eaten the fruit from the tree of life
and taken knowledge that was not mine
I spent a year in silence just to better understand the sound of a whisper
and sat atop a mountain near Jerusalem, praying to God, asking his forgiveness for the blood spilled by my hand
I spent some time in Italy where I saved a fatherless beauty from the would-be ravishing of her dreadful uncle

But despite my good deeds I have been weighed
I have been measured
And I have absolutely...
Been found wanting

Welcome to the New World. God save me, if it is right that he should do so
Tried something different in this poem, not sure if it works, please let me know in the comments of you opinions.

Some of you might recognize some of the lines from this that is because I took the last bit from my favorite film A Knight's Tale and tried to include it in to the poem and for the rest of it I had inspiration from poems by

Seamus Heaney
Dante Gabriel Rossetti
Raymond Carver

They are all really good poets and I hope that their fans like this poem

as I said above I tried something different so please let me know what you think in the comments

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it, if you have any questions please ask them and I will try to answer them a.s.a.p.

Junk the ancient rules of thought by which our predecessors fought
Their clashing minds did throw a spark that scorched the world and wreaked the dark
Let no science fix our path if only numbers make its math
Our brains will run will surely see on some sweeter philosophy
Until beneath a quite sky atop the rubble we will stand and finally demystify the message in fate's reprimand
Even an atomic blast can't rub the future from the past
If with incinerated grace we still become the human race.
This is taken from the movie After the Dark (I do not own the rights to this poem) but I thought it was really good and wanted to share it with you all.

Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me
a total lie!

Names hurt, not physically but mentally
and the scars last maybe longer
If you are lucky you'll come out of it a lot stronger.

Sticks and stones will **** me
names will make me cry
put the 2 acts together and you'll make me want to die

You think it's a joke but I don't find you funny
I die a little each time you bully me
because of you maybe tomorrow I will not wake up
overdose or wrists or something else
All could be averted if you didn't bully me.
I'm a big supporter of anti bullying campaigns but it seems to be getting worse, everyday a new video on Youtube from a victim and news story's of someone committing suicide because of bullying.

Sadly schools don't do much for victims. I myself was bullied at school and I know from personal experience you feel you are alone (you're not but it feels that way) Parents don't understand the scale of how it makes you feel, teachers just make things worse. But also from personal experience after school life your world opens up, it becomes so much bigger and you find people to talk to, new friends and your confidence comes back you come back. So although during school life you may feel like you're dieing at some point in the future you will feel alive once again.

I understand that this poem will not change anything (sad but most bullies only change as they get older) but if any bullies do read this I have something to say (SHAME ON YOU) and if just 1 person does read this and wakes up to the pain they cause someone else, I have this to say, IT'S NEVER TO LATE TO MAKE SOMEONES DAY BETTER

Would you say yes if I asked you out?

would you like to grab coffee some time?
or maybe catch a movie?
Would you say yes if I asked you out?

I'm a shy guy but only at first
by the 3rd date you would never notice
I'm filled with confidence waiting to burst.

I can't do it face to face
or over the phone
It's so easy when I'm at home

Will you go out with me?
This poem is not based on a current situation, it's something that happened when I was much younger. I was really shy at the time and there was this girl who I really liked but of course I was to shy to ask her out face to face so it was coming up to her birthday so while I wrote out the card I expressed my feelings and asked her out in the card. Well it didn't go the way I planned and I made a fool/idiot out of myself. Now when I look back at it I smile and that was the inspiration and the idea behind this poem, I hope you enjoyed it.

If I'm still been honest I will admit I am still shy but no where near as much as I once was, and if any of you ever meet me in life you will notice this but you will also notice the shyness disappear with-in an hour or so.

Last little bit, something new I'm going to start adding to the end of my poems. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it, if you have any questions please ask them and I will try to answer them a.s.a.p.
