Is everything a lie and nothing the truth
What we see, hear or even touch
how do we know if it is true
how do we know if it is a lie
Is it truth that I was born and is it truth that I will die
or is everything a lie

If I tell you I love you
if I tell you I care
if I tell you I will always be there
how do you know if it is true
how do you know if it is a lie

You tell me I was born in 87
You also told me I would end up in Heaven
but I have just as much chance I will end up in Hell
How do I know if it is true
how do I know if it is a lie

We hallucinate
we hear voices
we even feel things that are not there
so how do we know what is truth and what is a lie

Are we here
are you there
do we look and sound like we think
do we even think or are we controlled
so I ask what is truth and what is a lie
Thank you everyone who has liked my previous poems, especially "I love you because" I didn't expect it to do as well as it has. Anyway thank you, as I said before I will be taking a break and this one will be my final one for a while. (Just sorting through old ones and this is the last one)

When you say I'm not a proper man, what am I then?
I read and write, I like poetry and I like romance
I might not like fighting or drinking like most men
but I'm not ashamed to admit that I have feelings and I'm not scared to express them

I like to watch ballet and listen to Opera
I like a bit of Mozart and some Beethoven
one of my favorites is Pachelbel's Canon in D
I think it's right when a man gets down on his knee

I believe in love, princes and princesses
I watch films like The Notebook and The Lake House
I like walks on the beach and watching the sun set
and I get scared when I come in contact with a threat

I like antiques and museums
I like art and shopping
So I might not be the same as other men
but if I'm not a proper man what am I then

I like football, I like fast cars
I want to take a trip to the planet Mars
I don't like cleaning, I've never had my nails done
I like women and I've always wondered what it'd be like to shoot a gun

So if I'm not a proper man, what am I then?
This is the second one, I hope you like it.

It's always bad news that we read
even worse news that we hear
it's enough to make you run in fear.

War after war
death after death
Every second a life form is taking it's final breath

The 6th commandment says thou shall not ****
but not only do we still do, some even do it for a frill
Every life that dies, every final breath that is taken
makes me sad and angry that I can not save them

My love for life includes the biggest and the smallest
Alien, human, bugs or birds
no discrimination on who or what I love
so when one dies, I question who else cries.
This was inspired by an other poet on here and it made me think that I should write about how I feel in these situations.

THANK YOU for reading.

What will I see when I arrive?
What will people feel when I leave?
Will I see red or will I see white?
Will I be walking into the dark or the light?

I had a beginning and one day I will have an end
but hopefully I still have a long time to go
even if time is beginning to show.

But I can not help but feel intrigued about what comes after
Will there be screams or tears of laughter?

Or

Maybe there is nothing once we die
except for our loved ones to have a good cry

I fear that no one will remember
I fear that I will be forgotten
When I die who will care

I have this fear
and it makes me scared
is my life meaningless
I fear no one will care

When I'm gone will my life live in memory
will my personality be remembered
will people even care about my history

I fear no one will remember
I fear that I will be forgotten

I see the fires of hell
I hear the thunders of Thor
at the beginning of Earth there was not much more

After many years the Earth began to cool
in the deepest depths life will rise
but it's not much, it's only got one molecule

Evolution or Religion
what ever you believe is your decision
but we all agree life was born
and Earth was heading for a new dawn

Million of years had passed
A species known as Dinosaurs stood
but tragedy struck and wiped them out along with many other species
but that event allowed a species known as **** sapiens to take over
Which in turn created me so I could write this and so you could read
Not sure about this one, let me know

Like life eating food
you eat away at me
more painful than a gun shot
insane enough to rip out hair

They call you guilt
but I call you my enemy
You never let me sleep
always there eating away at me
like life eating food

I beg and and I regret
but I cannot forget
Until the day I die I will say I'm sorry
but so much guilt eating away at me

I'M SORRY
