Sun-rise
appearing parallel
before your
tired eyes
That hold back pain
pain you try and hide
oh hide
Sun-rise

Shine bright
I will truly
bask in beauty
given to me smoothly
by the vast light

Shine bright
My Sun-rise

All the nights we spent with eyes so wide
All the tears I have ever cried
They've all been for myself

The times I wish I hadn't lied
Every time I took a selfish stride
Every time I'd fallen with my pride
They've all been for myself

I've never tried to turn the tide
though I've gazed at the Golden Sun outside
Beauty captured and revived
Oh! I am glad to be alive

The sweet cold air
winter perfume
no reason to sit about in gloom
Await the pure oncoming June
to wrap me warm in glories womb

Going to gather gallant pride
oppose me and we will collide
I can be a champion if I try
and do this for myself

Mightily on my throne
here I sit proud and alone
Jewelry made from polished bone
a pauper king as hard as stone

Look at him up there
is he truly aware?
Holding talents so rare
yet he lurks lucid
locked up in his lair

Powerful he has become
he's fasting, forgetting the flair of the sun
He's feared and he's clear
and he knows the unknown
but still he sits alone
forever he sits alone
on his lonely, luxury throne
