where once stood the symbols
of a country of might

two towers
were bought down
by dark forces in flight

obliterating the emblems
of strength
one by one

burning flames
raced from top to bottom
whence the structures
fell to the ground

9/11
shattered the illusion
of impregnability
terrorists
flew into
might's
fallibility

the story of the Colossus
is epic in dimension and size
to narrate it would require
an endless sunrise

enamored with his poetic skills
we all most certainly are
his radiant abilities shine
brighter than the evening star

the page comes to life
as we so attentively read
his phrases and figures of speech
are of the finest creed

the awesomeness
of his poetry doth so inspire
with a wordage pool
that sets our hearts on fire

his quill's ink ne'er partakes of rest
for there is much he hath need to say
at his desk he labors on a stanza
to so sublimely and excellently array

marvelous, exemplary, outstanding
all of these superlatives and more
tells us of the rare prowess and style
the Colossus hath in spades galore

Shane Linville has a propensity
to steal other poet's poetry
he claims them as his own property
which has an air of impropriety
using social media to let others know of his thievery
shall bring upon his name the mark of notoriety
there is not one once of decency
to Shane Linville's infamy

a trickle did course
along its trace
no surging torrent
in its place

as love blossomed
into full bloom
the river did gain
in it's volume

burgeoning waters
spilled o'er it's banks
with a brimming
lapping at it's flanks

as the years matured
the rivers of love
took a lasting bend

into a wealthy rapport
the twosome
did beautifully blend

love's chorus sings in the river's gush
a sustaining refrain so very lush

their tributaries coalescing for a lifetime
journeying love's waters so sublime

we're going to speak
the language of love
all through the night

we're going to speak
the language of love
in the morning light

it'll be so fine
talking in that familiar lingo
we'll speak it
like a pair of intimate amigos

the language of love
the language of love

our tongues meeting and meshing
in a steamy dialogue
sharing the warm feeling
of a special monologue

we're going to speak
the language of love
all through the night

we're going to speak
the language of love
in the morning light

come on baby
let's commence
our love discussions
there is much
for you and I
to ****** percussion

the language of love
the language of love

is so powerful
in the message
it communicates
and its linguistics
so highly rate

we're going to speak
the language of love
also
eagerly

yet again the sound
of guns fire
they fire in fits of ire
the guns aren't silenced
of their tragic sound
the guns issue
volley on volley of rounds
we hear them from afar
we hear them at close range
they're firing across
the Ukraine
they're firing in Iraq
yet again
the guns shall keep firing
to the regret of us all
the guns seemingly
can't be forestalled

an amnesia
has taken over the brains
of the firing men
when will they from
the gun abstain

seasons are in an annual transitional mode
bright shades of summer now fast disappear
making way for autumn hues to explode

upon the tree branches mellow tones appear
russets deep browns and liquid amber tones
bright shades of summer now fast disappear

a time of recess where growth postpones
the waste of warmer days drifting around
russets deep browns and liquid amber tones

in the mornings lingering mists abound
gone are summer's brilliant blue tinges
the waste of warmer days drifting around

as months roll by winter's white impinges
a change in shade sits upon the land
gone are summer's brilliant blue tinges

the cycle of color patterns are never bland
a change of shade sits upon the land
seasons are in an annual transitional mode
making way for autumn hues to explode

love is around the corner
it's waiting for you
when it takes hold
it'll surprise you

there will be joy in every part of your heart
as Cupid fires his loving dart
there will be armor pouring so sublimely
you'll be awash in its gleeful spree

love is around the corner
it's waiting for you
when it takes hold
it'll surprise you

take a walk out on the street to-day
and a sweet partner shall amble your way
those long held dreams of love becoming a reality
all this and more in your neighborhood locality

love is around the corner
it's waiting for you
when it takes hold
it'll surprise you

don't hesitate nor procrastinate
finding love's many wonders shall satiate
twill be the makings of a splendid bright hue
as love kindles its sparkle within you

love is around the corner
it's waiting for you
when it takes hold
it'll surprise you

dusk descends upon the Oz landscape
the sun slowly reclines westward
cattle and sheep make for nightly camps
the faint sounds of birds are heard
gum trees cast last shadows
o'er the land a hush
it's settling time
day closes
then to
night

stars
aplenty
fill the sky
the scent of earth
flows on the soft breeze
so calming the night hours
the country is serene and still
how fortunate we are to live here
in a place which is like paradise
as the moon sails across the bushland skies

Thy love shall never waver or deviate
A harmonic union we'll always keep
Our hearts and souls to ever correlate
Dearest thy pool of love for you so deep
Our garden shall be full of loveliness
Thy dreams coming true we'll be entwining
No sweeter day for sublime happiness
Together our future full of shining
We'll sail on beautiful clouds endlessly
Thy is manifold with delight this day
In paradise we'll reside eternally
Our cup of love overflowing, so say
With our sacred marriage vows enshrined
We'll be affectionately combined

she was a woman of riper years
he was a boy without any fears
they met and fell deeply in love
they were as tight as a well fitting glove

their romance didn't waver
it grew stronger by the day
their feelings for one another
held like a well bound clay

something real and so true
existed between the loving two
their bond was a sweet sticking glue
the age difference came not between the two

the skeptics didn't give them a chance
at having a long lasting romance
they defied the odds big time
to this day their hearts still chime

she was a woman of riper years
he was a boy without any fears
they met and fell deeply in love
they were as tight as a well fitting glove

on the blank white page
the poet bears
his soul
emotions spill
the hardships
joys
and heartaches
told
we gain an insight
by reading
his narrative
his words
proliferate our minds
with his explanatory lines
the poet's ink
is indelible on the page
of his life experiences
we engage
