Nature has her moods

listen, you can hear her sighs

in echoes of trees

Society had its plans for me
I played into it spectacularly
But I can dance for you to prove I'm not broken
The crank is in back
And slightly out of whack
But you'll truly believe I've awoken
With dust covered slippers and a baby pink dress
I'll creak back to life to display my distress
And to look at me golly, no one would guess
That this toy is most certainly broken

Walk a mile
with the wind on your face
between the land and the sky
the sand and the water
tread the lonely margins
the frayed cuffs
where worlds meet and end
listen to the cries of wading birds
and wet your tired feet
let the waves heal you
and wash against your senses
this beach is yours
if only in your head

Eloisa
She watches a firefly dancing
in the pretty, sorrowful darkness.
She’s a moonflower clinging to her dream,
singing songs of love and magic.
A mystical vision in the radiance of night,
in her concluding silky, passionate glide upon the deathless sky,
in her deepest grief,
some blissful dreams arise.
It’s not something you can touch
Or something you can feel
It’s the combination
That gives it its appeal
A culmination of both good and bad
Somewhere in between
It hovers over everything
Like a lucid dream
