Tall as a ladder
Rungs of the brave
Stood like a Krishna
Words on parade
Angels with messages
Dreams in the sky
Imagine the state
Neural chemical high

It was the cool nights
Glow from the moon
All of the torch lights
Waiting for June
The magic of silence
An itch in an ear
Awaiting the whisper
   Year after year...

Everything is beautiful, as far as I can see
Everything is wonderful when my eyes bleed

Everyone is casual, sifting stems and seeds
Everyone is pleasant, spirits soaring free

Everything is peaceful when life is but a dream
Everyone is kicking back, hear the eagle scream

Roll another dream, smoke rings fill the sky
Pass it to the left,  never pass it by

Everything is kosher, watch the children climb
Everything returns to sources in it’s own time

Everything is beautiful, as far as I can see
Everything is wonderful when my eyes bleed

The Moon and her stars
The Sun and his rays
In lover's pursuit
For all of their days
A Star is born
In eternal light
Flickering dreams
Strive to take flight

In proximity of
The Giver of Life
She spins in dark skies
The goddess of night
In the absence of
Her lover's smile
The howls of doom
Greet the wild

The promise of heaven
Was not his to give
Two hearts lost forever
And so shall we live...

Beliefs or the lack thereof
Who should be concerned?
Indifference causes what indifference does
Perhaps in time we'll learn

They’ll either comprehend or miss the mark
Then some shall judge the latter
An impartial praise from the common man
How wisdom tends to flatter

Did he leave his mark on a simple man
The eyes that dimly see?
Did he cast a spell and from a prison cell
Set the poor sap free

Perhaps it’s some sort of play on words
Or some new feeling deep inside
Still one way or another
We all remain truly blind...

Counterproductive to hold to the truth
I’m no saner today than I was in my youth
Was it a tragic display that I somehow suppressed
A malfunctioning brain that caved under stress
When things get too quiet the siren I hear
Drowns out the sounds that aren't really there...

I often laugh when life deals me pain
In times like these I sense I’m deranged
But it might be the mechanism that allows me to cope
When the champion of mayhem has me pinned to the ropes
And the drunkenness of the driver, my pilot within
Can't seem to escape the stench of my sins...

The bludgeoned end of reason is hot on my case
Threatening to smash me back into place
It’s these catch-22s that torture my mind
I keep growing older suspended in time
Still my biggest fear is my hindsight going dim
And coming around to trust this world once again...

In a Forest
We can See all the
Trees as One
when the
Leaves are Green

When Leaves start to
Turn and Fall
We become able to
Clearly See the
Unique Character
of each and every
Tree

Much the same thing
could be said of
People.

Such is the
