Love garden
By: Connor s Owens.

I opened your heart and left you to bleed.
My demons attacked you where they feed.
Leaving a pain tainted seed.
I ask myself why? Why do you come back after I left you to die?
Why do you care so much when I left without saying goodbye?
Why do you smile when all I say are lies?
All I do is hurt, but you cleaned and watered the dirt.
You removed the fence letting it be freed.
Where in my garden you planted your seed.
For once I looked at the dark clouds for showers.
Sitting idly by, I watched by the hour.
I saw your plant flower.
I cried.
For a long time I tried to hide.
But your plant grew too big.
With anger I stormed over and started to dig.
Flushed with emotions I start to uproot.
It felt great,  those feelings hurt.
All that remained was the fruit.
from dull eyes I looked in the mirror where they twinkled.
Days, months even years pass living life fast i kept my foot on the gas.

With life going by, I finally checked my garden.
The dirt was filled with weeds and the fence back up again, but this time the wood was hardened.
The sight gave me memories where it was freed.
With a beautiful plant that grew from a seed.
Planted by a girl I thought was only gonna stay awhile.
The garden pleaded for care by your hands but my mind was still in denial.
The sun shined bright but everyday only clouds were in sight.
The owner spilled poison in the garden.
The twinkle is gone and the light dwindles.
The owner forgot her name.
Grabbed the memories and let them burn.
Ashes and dust litter his property.
But the garden wanted prosperity and never forgot her name.
The garden made the owner live in shame.
Months go by.
But the two will meet and share their first real hi.

The garden still with the fence flourishes now.
She finally came back.
The owner, puzzled , asks himself how.
How could someone create such a beautiful thing?
Not wanting her to go, he sits by the garden, the one thing he will cling on.
Afraid of the day those tender hands will be gone

Tender hands back fixing and watering his garden.
But even the brightest days darken.
Poison seeps into his garden and on them both.
They argue flowers turn away including the roses.
They cry, dirt turns to mud making a mess.
When he feels hate he visits the garden.
Cause those are the hands he wants and couldn't settle for less.
Instead of watching on the side he gives it a try.
This time he tenders his garden with her, something he's never done.
She moves to the fence to take it down.
But he says no and tells her to go around.
He puts his hands full of aches and cracks and tears them down.
She helped him get to this point.
All he needed was a little shove.
For once he knows what this is called.
He hugs her knowing this feeling.
