We once had a love so passionate and strong,
That even cheating and lies could never do us wrong

We survived through mistakes and wrong doings that we did,
We couldn't help ourselves we were both just a kid

I even lost you one summer to someone I knew,
But we still found each other- our love even grew

And now that we're older and our love may not last,
I'm still holding on to what we had in the past

I'm scared of the feeling of not having you near,
But i'm begining to lose focus- my future unclear

Our past is a burden we need to let go,
and become individuals who actually grow

But i'm scared to say bye and lose you for good,
So i'll keep holding on and be happy as I could

A familiar kind of love
the one that we all know,
two teenagers loving passionately
watching each other grow

the final day arises
when they have to say goodbye,
growing up with each other
the love that changed their lives

holding on to their memories
both separate in despair,
as the lonely girl becomes forgotten
by the boy who played with her hair

he has forgotten all about her
the times they laughed and when they cried,
and found some other lover
to make memories by his side
