Strolling along the footpaths in my mind
Kicking away unwanted leaves
Never knowing what I might find
or indeed what my journey achieves.

I know hopes and dreams are buried somewhere
in a file I clearly wanted to relive
Most of my dreams are on a wing and a prayer
and some of my hopes are wanting to forgive.

I come across memories from a short while ago
I sit on the bank and on my face there is a smile
Across the stream shines a golden glow
I plan to sit and dream just for a while.

I feel a chill and there is a twinkle from a distant star
I have lost track of time; dusk has arrived too soon
Visions of my youth has nudged me from afar
and I hear gentle whispers from the silvery moon.

The rain came
It was expected
Which is a shame
The sun reflected
Out came the sun
with a smile on its face
the show had begun
an image impossible to erase.
Colours of the dreamcoat
shone like an upside down smile
it got my vote
by as much as a mile.
I thought of the *** of gold
and who could I give it to
The air went a tad cold
I realised I was wet through
The rainbow seemed to know
of my thoughts and dreams
I thanked it for the show
and the colourful beams.

Probably apt because it had a wooden leg
This brave little horse
belted around every course
To stop it the rider had to coax it and beg/

This is an example of an onion that cried
His emotions having been pent up inside
He had said to his mate
"If I end upon a plate"
"I would rather be boiled than fried.

If your toast had to decide which spread
and on which side does it get put on the bread
If  it were for dipping
then it would favour the dripping
Oherwise it would opt for the jam instead.

There was once a goose with an attitude
Forever and a day he was in a mood
So if you see a goose
that is set loose
Remember he could be rather rude.

Spoonful of knowing what is right and wrong
handful of singing plenty
buckets of love all day long
replacing the toilet roll when empty
the willingness to give and take
massive amount of laughter
the skill to recognise the mistake
and being good to others forever after.

Mix all ingredients carefully together fora recipe of success.
