If you’re so bad for me,
why is it that
I still run into
your arms
for comfort?
  If continuing
is what is hurting me,
why is it that
I keep on
coming back?
  If speaking to you
is confusing,
why is it that
you’re the only one
who understands?
  If being with you
is calming,
why is it that
my heart always
starts to race?
  If you are really
such a terrible man,
why is it that
you know
just what to do?
  If I shouldn’t
still want you,
why is it that
I still crave
your affection?

You’re the one with all the answers.
Please, tell me, and be true:
Why is it that I still love you?
Written a while ago about someone I loved but lost. Hopefully someone can find solace in it. I’ll take constructive criticism and feedback too, as I did not edit this one. This is pure emotion I experienced formed into words.
