Cat Jul 2014
my mind needed to be iced
while you
you chewed, nibbled and gnawed
your thin, red straw
up and down,
teeth marks indented in it-
while I wish it were my body.
Cat Jul 2014
You lay me down
like a leaf falling from a tree
wrap me
reaching for what feels like-
stars.
reality is quickly
dismissed around me.
Cat Jul 2014
Lift my arms up high
as if I am expecting
to be lifted down.
I sit six feet high on top
of the commercial white box…waiting.

Cat Jun 2014
Drip drop,
puddles forms-
A slight shadow seen,
As lean over It
mist pouring onto my neck
Cleansing my stressed schedule,
A smirk surfacing up
Telling me to enjoy the rainy day.
Cat Jun 2014
wrung out each day
Rusted,muted reds , oranges -
Surfaces wiped clean
Stripes curl and waiver
Spreading thin over years
Shredded circular edges...
Holes of laughter,
Meals of romance covered,
Warm yeast - rising sparingly
now wrapping dolls, drying sticks for crafts     Yet
Folded squarly each evening
Faded starlight above
Drying out day's piecemeal
Cat Jun 2014
If I jumped...
would you soften my fall?
If I swam deep...
would you catch my breathe?
If I ran...
would you watch for my
return?
If I slipped...
would you wipe me off?
If I sloshed and stomped...
would you join me?
Cat Jun 2014
slippery snow shocking shoe-away birds
shaking their wings and feathers
balancing smoothly-effortlessly
on a sturdy stick or feeder
watching from the softness of a blanket
and a child's touch.
