As I gazed at the celestial sky, I came across a star.
It was bright and brilliant yet unattainable.
My power was limited,
my hunger insatiable.

I thought if I stared long enough,
my limits would be surpassed.
But I was wrong.
Desire demanded action. And without it, forever it would last.

I searched within myself to find the answer.
It remained hidden from detection,
so I searched you instead.
Your eyes were flawless gems and untarnished was your complexion.

Those gems reflected the heavens.
And had captured what I desired.
I was complete.
Nothing more was required.

I had managed to attain the unattainable.
Through a gentle path
Beneath a sanctuary
The soul full of harmony
The smooth river rain
Sweet season you relax
Let be let it sing
Thick mountain dusk
Blossoms into a secret spirit that will seed and then vine
A wild life yet pure
See it shine
Climb, thrive and never wither under this fight
Remember this delicious decay
Linger only as we kiss
Born to bleed poetry
Devour and bring them peace

I remember when you told me my body would rot,
and I agreed. I remember when you told me I am
nothing. I agreed, and said it back. You are nothing
to anyone else but me. I will not leave. You first,
please. And you agreed. God my feet were bare
and you loved me, last. Early to bed, five A.M.
I didn't sleep. I remember when I told you
we have lived before. And will live again.
And you replied, we are nothing. And I said no,
you are nothing to anyone else, you are nothing now
to me. I want to help you bleed, but you scab over
too quickly. I will not agree. I am more to me
than I am to you.

Yin, my queen, was undiscovered.
Instead of royalty, a mother.
Lately she begins to smother.
Enticing me to yet another.

Yang, my king, he has no face.
But fullness in disfigured grace.
Charred instead by lapping waves.
Ideas wadded, thrown to graves.

Terrorist, chauvinist, make a list, burn it.
Hear a plea, guarantee, feel so free, turn it.

Born into an unpleasing society.
Stardust blown into her eyes.
A wonderful dreamer living on prideful lies.
Hope to one day find her way.
A capricorn fate, waiting for the day.
Growing up at a too fast rate.

Musically alive, holding on to lyrics to survive.
The black hole pulled her in.
Left her dead with no way to win.
Addicted but not ashamed.
Picture perfect and perfectly framed.
She is beautiful but doesn't know.

Her free spirit and selfishness is sure to show.
Psychotically sane, holding in her pain.
She misses her old life.
She'll regain that love and passion she once knew.
But for now her brighter days are fading to blue.

Day
I’m cat ears on a cold, winter night;
bite a mouse neck
just for the tease
and let her run

away& life leaks slowly perhaps for
years and those
scars will stay
'til the end.

blooded fang, true love of the taste
of wide-eyed horror,
gut screams;
-- insatiable.

a victim caged yearns affection by
the soothing voice
of a beast
in the dark

but mama kept me far from the zoo.
baby eyes, a woman
never feared
                  so.

She listens
And though she is right beside me
She is a million miles away in thought
And yet she listens
She still somehow hears what I say
Even though
She is a million miles away in thought
Her emotions are paper thin
And her charade is opaque
She is easily broken
From her mindless stupor
And yet she listens
To the troubled words of a troubled mind
And yet she listens
To the sorrowful twang of teenage vanities
And yet she listens
To the colors and the smells of burning candles
She listens to the feel of skin on paper
She listens to the cloyingly sweet emotions
Drifting off where no one else can hear them
And yet she listens
To taped-back-together-but-so-far-apart souls
Desperate not to be blown away
