This is not a love poem

This is not a love poem
Like most of mine are
It is more a poem of love
For who you really are

You are so sweet to listen
To my past hurting  love
That I wanted to say thank you
And give a written hug

You have responded to my poems
When you thought I was in need
And offered just to listen
If just to comfort me

I know that you're not near to me
But the distance isnt far
For two hearts, once broken
Are never far apart

For this is not a love poem
Like most of mine are
It is a poem saying thank you
You helped heal a broken heart

This is for those who have reached out to try to comfort. Please know that I have moved forward and my past love/hurt poems are from memories of the past. Thank you.
Wasted Time

I know it's just wasted time
As I sit and think of you
I'm holding on to a past
That I know was never true

I know I need to just let go
Of the dream that we once shared
Its a waste of time to feel this way
When I know you never cared

I wonder if you loved me
Like I remember in my heart
It was a waste of time believing
That we would never be apart

I know I must forget your touch
And that promise we would be
For those years we spent together
Are now just wasted time to me

I Saw Perfect

Today I looked in
And I saw a perfect face
A smile that lit up the room
When others looked your way

There was this calm about you
As you looked around the room
Knowing just what you want
And who is right for you

You looked my way and smiled
And I wondered who you saw
Not realizing it was me
That you searched for all along

I felt this calming peace within
As your eyes peirced my soul
I saw the inner beauty
That I knew was there to hold

That perfect person in the room
Was there for all to see
For that perfect face that I saw
Was in a mirror in front of me

This poem is about finding yourself first. Seeing yourself differently and knowing that the way you see yourself, so will others. Believe that what you have to offer is what others want and others will want what you have to offer. (Wait I see a future poem in those last few words...lol)
Differnt Taste, Different View

Each person has a different taste
In each thing they see or do
A different taste in all of life
And different points of view

It amazes me they like one thing
That I thought just wasn't good
Or they hate the thing that touched me
The one I understood

There may be many different paths
That each of us will make
The experience of each life lived
Decides which path we'll take

So when that perfect thing is found
Know It could be just for you
For others may not have your taste
They have a different point of view

Written because many of what I think are my best poems get little reads while others get many comments that people say they like. An example is I think my poem I'm Home Is my best but there are several others that get more likes and hits.
His Voice or Mine

With his kiss upon your lips
As you  close your eyes
Do you think about the life we had
Or the new life he provides

Can his hands carress your body
The ways that mine once did
Will his touch give you pleasure
Like only I could give

Can you see true love in his eye's
Like the love I had for you
Will your heart beat just as fast
As when I walked in the room

Does the memory of him fill your day
Is our memory lost in time
As you sleep within your dreams
Do you hear his voice or mine

For all those who have even felt a loss. Your Life and your thoughts will turn around and become yours again. It's true what they say. Time heals
I'm  Home

I got my own place today
And I did this without you
Turned the key and unlocked the door
And saw the empty rooms

The empty rooms reminded me
That although you wont be here
I'll have a chance to fill the rooms
With memories I'll hold dear

I can paint the walls with colors
Brite and pleasing to my eyes
Cover up past pain and hurt
Now knowing I'll survive

I can look out each new window
Or look in and see the views
And never see a memory
Of the times I spent with you

I will place my pictures on the walls
Let your memory fade from view
And rearrange my future
To allow for something new

This new place I have will be my home
Where new memories will be made
It all began when I turned the key
As I walked in today

I'm Home
I'm Home

I tried to show the emotion and hurt and at the same time the healing. I also wanted to stay true to both the physical as well as the emotionaal move.
Given Have A Chance

I know that I will love once more
And set my sorrow free
Move forward and begin a life
Without you next to me

I will feel a warmth within my heart
And give my love again
Heal my soul, begin to live
And find a new best friend

I wont wait for love to find me
I'll reach out and find new love
Give my heart to someone new
Who refuses to give up

I will see a smile and know right then
That we were meant to be
Realize it's a second chance
That God is giving me

I'll let go of hurt and anger
Feel calming peace within
For the heart will heal and repair itself
If it's given half a chance
