Blackbird oh Blackbird
Where is your proud song
I heard you sing in the sixties
Aren't you still downtrodden and all

Have you grown complacent
Did they clip your wings
I marched with your Fathers
They wouldn't hear of such a thing

Why was it they suffered
If not for the chance to be free
They had their eyes on the future
Is this what they wanted to see

The cage that contains you
The latch is on the inside
Blackbird in you is the power
To take freedoms ride

Blackbird oh Blackbird
Where is your proud song
If you'll sing it again
This time we'll all sing along

As my mind wander tonight,
I'm letting my thought take flight;
Thinking of something I don't know
It's like I'm searching high and low.
I just wanna give myself a break
While eating a blueberry cheesecake;
I no longer know what I am thinking
It's like I totally knew nothing.
I am easily distracted
That's why sometimes, I overreacted;
Is there someone dictating
Or I just don't know what I am doing?
I just want to do things for me
Things that will make me happy;
But why are there distractions
Which gives me more confusions.
I wanna find myself now
I just do not know how;
I do not know how to end my this,
Maybe by giving myself a goodnight kiss.
I should really have some rest
'Coz tomorrow I wanna be at my best!

She came in through the bathroom window
Because it was something that Paul once said
She changed her name to Lucy, in search of diamonds
But the night sky was way above her head

There is something in the way she moves
Here, There, and Everywhere
She said, She said, Hello Goodbye too many times
On the day I saw her standing there

She's so Beatlesque in the way that she acts
I've got a feeling a day in the life
Of this very extraordinary woman
Would be quite the ticket to ride

I have so often told this woman
Please don't let me down
She says right back to me ever so sweetly
We can work it out

She has the answers to all of life's problems
All you need is love
I ask for an explanation
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

She's so Beatlesque in the way that she acts
I've got a feeling a day in the life
Of this very extraordinary woman
Would be quite the ticket to ride
Almost every line is the title to a Beatles song...for you younger generations information...

If you hear me crying
Over what we were
What we had been

Don't let the sound of it fool you
It's just the whisper of the wind

If you happen to see me swaying
Not able to hold
Myself up again

Don't let the sight of it fool you
It's just the whisper of the wind

If I think I heard you saying
We'll always stay
The closest of friends

I won't let those thoughts confuse me
For they were whispered on the wind

If you see me fly off dear
Never to come
Back down again

Then you will know all that I've told you
Is just the whisper of the wind

David spied Bathsheba sitting in Uriah's bath
Up on a roof one night, before he fell into her arms...
Then bathing wouldn't cleanse Jehovah's wrath;
Bathsheba's man and baby came to harm.

Samson saw Delilah; they caused a perfect storm;
A plague of woe from love was roused,
'Til, blind and chained, the mighty man performed
The feat of strength that rattled down the house.

Antony and Cleopatra fell to each other's charm,
Just who it was who conquered whom is still unfixed.
We only know a serpent stung her in the arm,
And Tony died a lonely man, perplexed.

A flower stood alone out in a lonely glen....
"If love appears to you," Persephone would say,
"There may be thrill at first, dear friend.
Beware, beware!  Hades must have his day."

"The course of love ne'er did run smooth,"
The Bard was wont to say, and fully I agree,
The human heart may promise love and truth,
Then wander off in quest of agony.

I've felt the walls of my reality creep in upon me, collapsing like the sand castles of my younger days
felt the very fabric of my essence be sewn together only to wash away
I've felt the sun's over saturated ultra violets waves
splash upon my freckled skin
I've knock on the closed door of opportunity, begging fate to let me in
but fate stayed out late, so I waited on destiny
to take the rest of me
crumpled upon a doormat, waiting on a monumental shift
that until that moment did not exist
fortune favors the bold, but satan favors the cold
desolate misguided eyes of a child waiting
I'm stubbornly patient
when the words dance on the tip of your tongue
I felt the blood rush to my legs as I beckoned them to run
run from the concept of what I had become
felt the walls creep in, taunting them to come...
